“It's a small store, but they offer a great selection and they update it weekly. I always try something new when I come here. They have fresh produce and frozen foods at reasonable prices. I love the selection of mushrooms they have. And, of course, they offer tons of snacks and instant noodles! Everything is well organized.
I often come on Sundays because they get a variety of fresh bread delivered from a bakery in Kansas City, if I remember correctly, and it's great! The onion bread is my favorite, and a close second is probably the one that is dusted with coconut and filled with sweet cream.
Most of their stock looks to be from China, Korea, and Japan, but they do a good job of offering a variety of treats from other countries, like Filipino style spaghetti sauce, Mama instant noodles from Thailand, and Kopiko instant coffee from Indonesia, just to name a few. Explore and enjoy! The staff are always kind and helpful!”

“I have been shopping at the Brookwood dillons for almost 50 years. it is my favorite store! I visit several times a week, so much so, the staff know me by name. They are fantastic, friendly and helpful.

“It is almost a miniature version of most Dollar General stores. Don't let it fool you, it is absolutely packed with the same stuff as a bigger store. Bonus points for being organized and clean. Go there while you wait on your pizza from Marcos next door.”

“I love this store. They have items you cannot find anywhere else. The shelves are packed out like old time supermarkets and they are always well stocked. Prices may be higher on essential goods but that's due to low sales volume. The store is clean. The staff , well it depends”

“I've never reviewed a Walmart, but this one is worthy! I haven't been toi this location. Always go to 37th street location. When I walked in, I was kind of in awe! Ight was clean, and well organized. Something about it was just different. Not that others are dirty, but this one was just noticeably clean as nd organized. But even better, the greater was friendly, AND helpful. He greeted me in, then asked if I found the water refill station for my 5 gallon Primo jug. On way out, he followed up and asked if I found it. I told him it only filled 1 gallon containers, so I couldn't fill it. He told me its adjustable, and went with me to show me how- even though I was on way out the door! Cashier also asked questions and had a good conversation. It is nice to see employees who doubt act like they hate their jobs! They really made a good impression. I'll start shopping there from now on, instead of the 37th st local!”

“The Dollar general on like 35th and Topeka boulevard is an excellent store because I recently lost my wife came home from work and she suffered a seizure and passed away while the children were home and I told them what happened because I needed help finding something and I was very very confused but they always have been nice and always told me that I could rely on them for help”

“Stopped off on a roadtrip to resupply. Nice selection of fresh fruit & veggies. The only products I couldn’t find … BBQ sauce … seriously being so close to KC & Sweet Baby Ray’s & Curly’s were my only choices. Disappointed.”
“My 96-yr old mother has her prescriptions delivered to Thornton Place. She called me and told me she had not received it, so I called the pharmacy and talked to Paulo. He was very concerned and helpful. He looked it up and said my mother had signed for it. Sure enough, she had received it and forgotten. Paulo was very caring and concerned during the whole process. He reduced my stress level by a ton!”
“This Walmart is just another Walmart. If you've been to one, you've been to all of them. I buy some summer shorts and tops from WalMart, but that's about the only clothes I buy there. All their clothes are made in China or Taiwan with cheaper material.”

“This is my comfort zone. Slushies, cold drinks and gas. Almost all stores are easy to get in and out of. The restrooms are decently clean and the employees are friendly. But don't get it twisted, it is the 785 they don't need no problems. Lol. Also, use your cash app card for the rewards account . It worked for me and now I get the discount on fuel, no problems.”
“I mean what can you say about Walmart besides the fact that it's single handedly responsible for sucking the life out of thousands of communities across America? You ever notice how drab and gloomy Walmart looks? Grey and blue with the tiniest splash of yellow! Reminds me of prison. But they do the cheapest poison......I mean food around so that's good!”
