“Organization has improved a lot at this location since I've been last. Had to go 2 days in a row and cashiers on both days were very cheerful and welcoming. They were very busy on both days, but wasnt in line longer than 3 minutes.”

When one gets used to, sadly, waiting an unreasonable amount of time in line at Dollar Tree, experiencing a store with not only friendly employees who are obviously having fun (creating a positive experience for shoppers), but also a higher employee ratio to customers?! Now THAT is a surprising joy. More stores should take a hint from them. HIGHLY recommend this location!!!”

“I happen to really appreciate the employees and establishment above any other DT in the city, and being a former house cleaner, I’ve shopped many stores over the decades. This shop is the very best and the people are so kind. Jas is very helpful and a pro when my card was working once. The staff are warm, hard working and professional. I’m always greeted with a smile.
I am however disappointed in one recent hire who refused to bag some of my items because she felt that I bought too many of them and was extremely rude about it in August of 2024. Some Monster cans were on clearance an I purchased 20 of them along with other items. She told me she will not bag the cans as it would take too many bags (took 2 bags lol) only bagged the items that were not cans and made me carry the rest, then proceed to mutter to other customers on my way out..
She didn’t like her little counter being crowded with my purchases so she slapped the bagged items in my hands in a hurry and I never felt more tempted to tell an cashier off, but I wanted to get my stuff out of the way for the next shopper, who was shocked at what he saw… She’s the one with the pony tail, not the lovely GRACIOUS one with the short pixy cut. I have not been back since and don’t plan to.”
“I absolutely love this Dollar Tree! I have a fondness for the old school cinnamon hard candies. I’m a Midwifery Assistant and Birth Doula,so when my mom’s have upset tummies or everything tastes weird, I recommend those and ginger to help settle their stomach(a little bit anyway). I have traveled to 3-4 other Dollar Tree stores and they NEVER EVER have them! However I can ALWAYS count on this store to have them in stock. One time they were in boxes still, I explained my situation and the staff unboxed them right there so I could grab several.”

“The location is sort of obscured from Holmes. It’s on the East side Holmes surrounded by trees.
They sell the usual Dollar General fare: snacks and drinks, personal items like hair care products, toys, etc.
I’ve found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I’m a regular, if infrequent visitor.”
“A young lady here today helped me to make a private purchase without drawing a lot of attention. She was very kind and it was such a blessing to have her help. I wish I had gotten her name. But this was on March 3rd around 7pm if that helps get her some recognition! Keep up the great work!”

“Nice clean store, with great employees. Only complaint would be that you never know if it will be open or closed. Went here on Sunday at 2:00 pm and it was closed. Had to go to another location at 45th and Metropolitan, and that was a bad experience. Employees with bad attitudes there.”

“THIS IS THE BEST DOLLAR GENERAL IN GRANDVIEW, RARELY DO THEY NOT HV WHAT I NEED FOR MY DOG, AT OTHER DG'S ARE ALWAYS OUT OF THE 12.00 BAG OF TREATS MY DOG PREFERS, BECAUSE PPL ARE STEALING THEM AND LEAVING THE CHEAP TREATS BEHIND, MY DOG DOESN'T LIKE THE CHEAP TREATS, AT THIS ONE THEY'VE HAD TO PUT THE ANTI THEFT ALARM ON THE BAGS, AND IM HAPPY ABOUT IT, I GO THERE BECAUSE 99% OF THE TIME THEY HAVE WHAT HE LIKES. I KNOW THINGS ARE BEING SHOPLIFTED AT THESE PLACES, BUT DAMN THE PRICE HIKES ON EVERYTHINGGG IS RIDICULOUS, WHY CANT THEY JUST RAISE PRICES ON THE MOST SHOPLIFTED ITEM!!!! WHEN I STARTED BUYING MY DOG THESE PARTICULAR TREATS THEY WERE 7.50 NOW THEYRE 11.75 IF THEY GET ANY HIGHER ILL HV TO STOP BUYING THEM. MOST THINGS AT ALL DG'S ARE NOT WORTH THE HIKED PRICED THEYVE SET FOR THEM...UGH I MAY AS WELL GO TO PRICE CHOPPER AT THIS POINT. THE WORKERS ARE ALWAYS NICE TO ME, MAYBE BECAUSE THEY SEE ME ALOT. WHEN THINGS ARE TO HIGH I USE TO BUY ARE SET AT RIDICULOUS PRICE NOW, I JUST DONT BUY IT. THEY ALL HV PUBLIC REST ROOMS, BUT YOU CANT USE THEM & THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE, AND MOST HV GOTTEN RID OF THE SMALL BASKETS BECAUSE PPL FILL THEM UP AND RUN OUT WITH THEM, BUT WE ALL SHOULDNT HV TO BE HELD VICTIM TO A FEW BAD APPLES.”
