“The employees are always nice, friendly and ready to help. They open on time every morning and sometimes early. They are very fast. If there is a small line, you won't wait long. You are in and out in a flash. The Volcano Burrito is so tasty and hits the spot whether you are camping, nursing a hangover or just really hungry. They've recently expanded on the inside and have just about all the necessities for "roughing it". Most likely, they will have what you need without having a huge inventory. My family and I are regulars to this gas station and have been for several years. I bought my first dog as a puppy in their parking lot. I recently had to let him go due to being the old age of 16. This station is dear to us.”

“I recently visited Jonesy’s service station in Melvern, Kansas and had a lovely conversation / interview with the owner and the shop workers. Jonesy’s opened in 1944 and Darryl (the man in blue) bought the place a long time ago when it was about to be shut down.

The store has cheaper prices than most of the convenience stores in the area and has a truly impressive stock of goods and services including car maintenance!! Yes! Not only can you fill up your tank and get some grub or fish bait, but if you’re having car problems - look no further!

Inside the shop is a HUGE GARAGE prime and ready to serve your automotive! Darryl (the owner) is super friendly and nice to talk to! He’s a wealth of information on the area and knows a vast history of Melvern, the railroad industry and so much more!

The lady I’m pictured with greeted me as I pulled up and kindly welcomed me in! they’re both super polite and just wonderful folks! I really can’t say enough about how nice Jonesy’s is! It’s the perfect one-stop-shop for a town like Melvern!

“I drove over here from Carbondale for the 3rd time in the past month due to issues at the Carbondale location. This Casey has always been well stocked and I have been greeted by a person at the register every time. Yesterday Lindsey went above and beyond in service. She was super friendly greeting me and chatting with me. I felt welcomed. While I was outside fueling up my motorcycle and she came out with a cup with ice lid and straw for the Gatorade I had bought telling me this would help keep my drink cold. That was WOW service!! Hats off to her!!!”
