“The food and service is great. This is home cooking at a restaurant, and very well made. The staff is friendly and dinning area is clean. This was worth the one hour and twenty minute trip. We are planning our next trip, depending on our schedule.”

“When I was New to area i started comparing grocery stores. Mikes was friendly and well stocked.
I staff even helped me when I had a medical issue. I was helped to my truck. And asked several times if they should call someone. I’ll stick with Mikes and local shops.”
“It's the main store I shop at, except for produce! Particularly cuccumbers, bananas, and strawberries those few things are usually questionable. Other than that, I love the staff and savings. I've used pickup a few times and it's been a good experience as well!”
“Sadly I no longer live in the area but when I did, this was a once a week minimum visit. The grocery side has a lot more products than it appears. Trust me, walk the aisles a few times and you will see things you missed on the first pass. The bakery goods are always great. I truly miss the "not fried" pies and that were there. There was always a great variety, and next to that would be full sized pies and cakes that were equally enjoyable. I am not normally a sandwich lover, but the freshly made sandwiches are a requirement for when I fly back home. The homemade soups/chili are very, very good. Oh wait! ice cream, yes... you must try the ice cream especially during the summer months! Wonderful memories of a wonderful store!”
“Awesome selection of food & well organized store & AMAZINGLY SUPPORTIVE staff! This one guy helped my grandpa which really needed it at that very time I believe he said that his name is Gavin, does anyone know of him? Or if there IS a Gavin who works there? I'd would absolutely love to give him a proper thank you, as my grandpa was touched as was I when he told me about the situation! “Good clean store nice employees but find prices are not really any cheaper than Walmart or food lion. Especially on very generic products matter of fact there brand ice cream is like .30 cents more than WM or FL. Milk is .50 cents more as well so I’ll only shop for special deals as I did today on sodas and potato’s”
“I like Peggy's, they have all the basics you may need when it comes to simple car repairs or accessories, plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from, salty & sweet. And the couple of ladies that work there (both are blond) are always very helpful, courteous and just sweet girls. I go there frequently and it's always a quick run in and check out. Oh, and just a side note for pizza lovers, their pizza is AWESOME”
“Absolutely great employees. Always working every area of the store. Trucks in and out and seems like every time I come into the store. Never have to wait to check out, and when I've needed help, one of the employees is there to help. Stores always clean and easy to get around. Just downright country service at its best.”
