“We stopped in to get some gas and didn't realize they had just closed. When we tried the door and it was locked is when we realized we were going to be out of luck. We had our 4 kids and were down to 30 miles to empty. The owner heard us trying the door and unlocked the door to see what we were needing. When we told her she was so nice and turned the pumps on so we could put some gas in to get us to our next stop. We've stopped in this store a few times and have always had friendly service. So thankful for the owner being kind to us today.”

“The staff working are absolute legends. I got stuck due to bad weather riding my new motorcycle home from Missouri to Georgia. They were kind enough to let me ride out the storm for almost 4 hours. Great to see staff looking out for customers.”

“Yesterday January 5, 2026 I stopped by between 12:30 & 1 PM to go through their Hot Line. They hit a home run in my opinion with their Sloppy Joe.
The following review is older and was about their BBQ, but that's a seasonal item and not available during the winter:
I stop at Five Star stations mainly to grab something to eat. This location serves up a great pork bbq sandwich at lunch. The pork BBQ already has a sauce mixed in it and tastes great. Good steamed bun. Friendly staff. They also have a clean restroom.”
