“We cannot speak highly enough about Benken. We go there frequently for plants, classes, and events. This review speaks specifically about Benken Venue. We initially wanted a greenhouse wedding and were thrilled to find Benken, which is centrally located and very affordable. We continued to be blown away by their customer service throughout the wedding planning process. Robin is simply THE best and made our day so special. She went above and beyond to coordinate with vendors and walk us through how the day would be organized. Our guests are still talking about what a unique and beautiful venue Benken is. We especially adore our cocktail hour in the house plant area and taking pictures around the grounds and in the greenhouse. It was truly so dreamy, especially in the Atrium at night. We cannot recommend Benken enough. This is your sign to book this small business venue NOW. What a value and a treasure!”
“Wow...I love the bulk gardening supplies and the wide range of options for planting and feeding plants. I liked the selection of native plants for landscaping. Also, there's a great selection of pet food. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This is a cute, no-frills place to get pet and gardening supplies. We'll be back!”
“Beautiful and extremely healthy annuls and perennials. The pansies I bought thrived from March right until the heat came in June. I bought ~ 40 four inch impatiens (sunpatiens ) that grew 3 ft wide and cascade into each other around the boarder of my front garden. The delphiniums and butterfly bushes are similarly thriving. The staff are very helpful, and it is always a joy to visit this wonderful nursery.”
“This place is my favorite. It's like walking through a fairy tale, everything is so beautiful and lush and vibrant. Everyone on the staff is so nice and they go out of their way for customers. Every time I've needed assistance finding a certain plant, or had questions about plant care, they have been extremely attentive and helpful. I was just there today and I'll be back again soon!”

“I've had this nursery bookmarked for a few months and finally got the chance to head up there this morning. What an incredible find!! Steve is the best, so knowledgeable about all the native species, and very generously spent a good amount of time with us today showing us what he's done around the land there. Also has a ton of native plants to choose from!! We were so happy to find this valuable resource as we dive into a little restoration in our yard. Recommend checking this out if you're thinking of doing the same!!”
“I've been coming here for a long time but Spring 2024 was the best I have ever seen Funke's... In fact, their selection was the best I have ever seen any greenhouse in my entire life: 10 species of sage, for example, and cultivars of plants I had never seen in person. Just awesome.”

“Only been to the Florence location a handful of times. Sometimes (most) you don’t get acknowledged or asked if you need help. Which is Usually fine. But the last two time I was there I was help by Jack. ( that was the name on his apron). I needed a specific bolt and he researched online to see if the kit I was looking at had that bolt in it. And when it didn’t he made sure I had the right one. Next time multiple people saw me trying to get help with getting keys and kept walking by. Finally the last person I saw I asked if they could get someone to help me. Jack came again. He was friendly, greeted me made sure I had the right keys and and even got a “have a nice day” I’m really appreciate of good customer service.”
“Don’t know why reviews are so low, called for information man on the phone was very helpful and friendly. Renting process is a bit extra but they just ask for information to make sure they get their stuff back. Absolutely would use again.”

“I absolutely LOVE this store! I will be honest, I haven't shopped at Walmart in about 15 to 20 years. I stopped due to they "lost" all of my layaway at Christmas time (when tickle me Elmo)was a hot new toy! Well, I just shopped there today(1/7/2020) AND OMG!! They have improved and impressed me a 100%!! The employees where friendly and sooo very helpful.. I WILL be shopping there from now on. They are so much better than crappy,dirty and rude Target. Thank you Walmart you have gained a new loyal customer!”
“I was looking for a gift for a friend and decided to try Philo! The selection was fantastic and I bought the cutest variegated maranta. Should’ve bought one for myself too! The ladies working were so nice and knowledgeable. I bought a pot and they potted it for me right then and there for free! Easiest and best gift I’ve ever purchased!”

“I was looking for a tool chest that the last 3 Home Depots said they had but did not, the tool chest showed up in the system for Cold Springs but with a ton of looking with Nathaniel it was not found. Nathaniel went up and beyond calling other stores, unfortunately the other stores did not bother helping. Kudos to Nathaniel, I appreciate his help”
“My friend were looking for wood crates for a crafting project. We ask three different employees if they had them and everyone said no except for Brendan. Brendan not only located the wood crates but also grabbed a ladder and checked in the storage for another one when we asked if they had anymore. And then even after all of that he was extremely friendly. Brendan is the most helpful and exemplary employee at this location.”
“Joe behind the service desk gets stuff done. He is one of the nicest people I've ever met and when I threw a problem at him he solved it immediately.
I cant praise him enough. His patience and tact is the 5 star review. Home depot is a 3.
If there are multiple joes, this was on Halloween 10/31/24 around 3pm. He helped with with a chainsaw after a hour on the phone with customer care who ultimately told me to call the store.

“I didn’t care for this place previously because nobody was ever in a hurry to help you, but they have come a long way here. It was a pleasant shopping experience.
They have a great plumbing department and an electrical department that isn’t bad at all.
Their appliance department has a limited selection, so I would suggest ordering online. Their pricing on appliances is very aggressive and you can get almost any brand you want.
I was disappointed on the selection of in-stock ceiling tiles, but I guess that these aren’t fast moving items.
Halloween and Christmas decorations get too much floor space.”
