“The 5 stars are for Helen. Every time I go to this location Helen is working the desk. She is very friendly, apologies for the slow line, and does her best to give you 5 star service. She makes sure everybody is taken care of, and if you have to step out of line to fix something, she will have you stand to the side and once done bring you back over. We need more Helen's in the world. USPS needs a lot more Helen's.”

“Local branch post office so for me a great location. I have always had nice friendly service from the staff so am puzzled by the negative staff comments. People are correct about the staffing issues but that should be addressed to the Louisville office and I have but to no avail. I pay for a post office box but the availability of the box is now only during operating hours which defeats one of the reasons for having a box. I have called an complained to the main office but nothing has been done. If you have a box join me in calling and complaining, either discount the service since it is not being delivered as what a box services is for or provide it as it should be.”

“Dixon was beyond helpful and welcoming with making a return for an online purchase. The ladies in this USPS are always a pleasure to be helped by. Very much appreciated”

“Hardworking post office that struggles to please customers and managment. The mailmen in this establishment are some of the best, but the late hours and unrealistic time constraints wear them out and cause delays. You should always call instead of just showing up. They will make time for you.”

“My wife and I went in to apply for a passport and Milissa was great. Fully explained everything, did our photos, we signed and paid - all done in under half an hour. She even told us what to expect in the three mailings we’ll each receive and approximately when they’ll come.”

“I called to see if they could take drop offs (they can) and print a label (they cannot). The person I spoke to was helpful, I only had a short wait, and was helped beyond what they could do at the office (recommended to print the label at the library) (support our libraries!) Only ranking 4 stars because they couldn't print the label for me which I know they could, it's just not policy which I understand I just wish it was.”

“I use this post office all the time. I consider it a hidden little gem. I never have to wait, the staff is usually teenagers that are very sweet and helpful, with a little encouragement. You may have to wait a minute or two, because they are also the service desk. It's super convenient and all my packages make it no issue. ?”

“This was the best post office when I lived here. They were a part of the local community. Stamp out hunger food drives. The manager barabra was so kind. I hope you all are doing good!”

“With less than a week until Christmas, my close friend in Canada paid $76 US dollars for expedited parcel, just to send my family's gifts. When it didn't arrive when her tracking number notified her it had arrived, giving exact time and date, I called the Shivley post office. The nicest gentleman answered immediately, helping, to find this package was stolen off of my front porch when delivered at 7:18pm. He was so kind and caring, and told me the process I needed to follow.I'll probably never get thos important package, but it's nice knowing my local post office will kindly look into things, and show compassion.”

“I really appreciate the job the clerks do. (Carriers, too.) Working for the USPS and with the public is stressful. (That's why it's called, going postal.) Anyway, over the years, I've learned to steer clear of the place on Saturdays or whenever else there'll be long lines. Kind of glad to see negative reviews here. Maybe these people will stay away!PS: An update. The hours here have become VERY spotty. Very unpredictable. If I had to do it over again, I'd rent a box at a more reliable branch.”

“This can't be the first review, I come here once a week. The people are helpful, quick and deal with the three hundred questions I have about stamps and other mail related things that wander into my head. I want to work here when I grow up. It's amazing. Wonderful people.”

“I wish I knew the young man’s name… African American with locs. My daughters and I went for a passport appointment. He was extremely professional, efficient, polite, and knew the policies and procedures. He deserves a positive review.”

“Spoke to an employee this morning with an unique problem. He was able to confirm what I suspected. I now will need to forward my issue to a postal inspector, but I now know I am correct. I was scammed by a fake company providing false tracking information. The clerk confirmed it but I need to take the issue up with a postal inspector.Update: I ordered an item from a fake company website. The site was for a company but the receipt was from an individual so I knew the second I received a confirmation from my processor that it was like fraud. Tried to cancel the payment immediately with both the processor and my bank, but was unable to cancel on the weekend. Tried to claim the shipment as undelivered and the seller provided a valid tracking number for an package delivered to my zip code. This is a advanced scam method, daily thousands of tracking numbers are gathered through web crawling, scrapping, or hacking. Then the fraudster selects an unrelated shipment going to your zip code. I though I was going to have to go through the postal inspector to get proof the package with the tracking number provided did not go to my address. The postal employ above confirmed the tracking number I provided did not go to my address, but could not provide more as I was not the customer for that package. Upon closer review the tracking number provided was for a package shipped some hours before I placed my order and for a first class package not priority mail. First class package are limited to items less than one pound, my item was obviously over a pound. So I was able to get a refund from my processor on the third attempt after they closed my claim twice in favor of the seller.”

“Great people working here. They're always friendly and out of over 300 packages they've never lost one. They helped me send a package to Saudi Arabia and it actually went.”

“Went in today and there was a long line… roughly ten people but the line moved very quick. I had a paxkage that just needed to be mailed. I got the tracking and was ready to go. The postal employees were very friendly and helpful. Never been to this location but I recommend this location to anyone in the area.”
