“All the esoterica and "magic" paraphernalia is a little weird, but in terms of books they probably have the best literary fiction selection in Lexington. I'm not sure who curates it, but they really know their stuff. They have lots of translated and small-press literature that you won't find anywhere else, plus pretty much any American classic you'd want, including some obscure stuff. Not to mention all the other book sections like art and film, which are also very nice. They do charge cover price like B&N or Joseph-Beth, which is the only drawback, but they also have a couple shelves of clearance books. If they were able to cut off 20-25% from the cover price, I'd come here much more often; in this economy, even with an intent to help a small business, it's hard to pay so much for books when they're much cheaper elsewhere. Like I said, though, their selection is unbeatable.”

“I graduated just over 5 years ago from Transy. Kristi Bowerman, the bookstore manager, was always a welcoming and positive person who was constantly helping students figure out their courses required materials. Shortly after I graduated, my family lost almost all of our belongings in a house fire. I visited Transy and replaced some spirit ware. Kristi remembered me by name and asked how my family was, and did so every year or so when I would come back to visit Transy. Kristi, more than almost anyone else, has continued to make me feel a part of the Transy Community and I couldn’t imagine my Alma Mater without her.”

“What a great space! This store is very clean, orderly, and fantastic; just what a B&N should be! The staff are wonderful and direct you to exactly where you want to be. I would highly recommend this location.”

“The Gatton Student Center is a beautiful, spacious common area inside UK's Business School. The main seating and study area can be accessed by staircase or elevator. A sculpture is extended above the seating area that offers tables and oversized chairs. Lots of natural light comes through the glass ceiling. Also downstairs is a cafe for food and refreshments. It's great to have an option other than Starbucks and not be forced to walk across campus to access the main dining halls. Gatton also boasts over 40 study rooms that can be reserved in advance or in the moment. You can see upcoming booked times for the room so that you can plan ahead to be out prior. The rooms are great for 1-4 people and offer a big screen for projection. Another cool area in the Business School is the stock exchange room. Rates for company stocks float across the screen similar to Wall Street.”

“This a lovely giant book store where they sell books, stationary and toys for great prices. I got happily lost in books while browsing in here for hours!This store is located in a large outlet, so there is plenty of free parking right in front of it. There are sections for all book genres imaginable, a stationary section, a toy section, a CD and record section, and a movie section. Things are fairly priced here and they have so many options to choose from!I got a cute little book called “100 Ghosts” which features just that: a gallery of 100 harmless haunts. Best $3 purchase I’ve ever made!I definitely recommend this book store for great deals on endless stories!”

“Stopped by this store after dinner so my husband could get what he needed to fix up his remote control car. He seemed to find everything he needed fairly quickly for under $40. I guess that's a good thing as I'm not a RC car person. According to hubby it was great so I'm taking his word on it The cashier was also very friendly and had good knowledge on the car my husband has. Definitely recommend this store if you like RC anything and/or are working on an RC car project!”
“We had a good experience. Actually they sent two checks by accident. I called to let them know and we just destroyed one and cashed one. They would only allow one to be cashed anyways, but we are honest and if they wanted us to send it back we would of, but instead they said to just shred the second check. So we did. I got through quickly and they were helpful”
