I want to tell you about Kurt at the register I didn't have enough money to pay for Ziploc bags I said can you take that off and I'll buy some another time he took his wallet out and paid $2.69 and I stood there and couldn't say anything l was speechless walking back to my apartment on Versailles road I kept thinking what just happened here's a man that is barely paying his bills or he doesn't have enough money to pay his bills with what he's making working for Save-A-Lot and yet he paid so that l didn't have to use plastic bags lm keeping the box in my backpack Kurt is someone I will never forget it really teaches you that things will happen to you that are so positive and make you feel so good he showed me that people care even when everything is falling apart and you can't find any hope people bring you back to having hope”
“I went during the week and early afternoon and for once did not have to fight to get through the store. It was clean, picked up and organized!! Not the experience I usually have on a weekend. Definitely found my time off day/days of the week to shop there!”

“My daughter and I were staying across the street and instead of spending a bunch of money on delivery, I walked over to this Dollar Tree to get dinner. My daughter wanted dumplings and there were plenty in stock. In fact, the whole store was well stocked, clean and bright, and quite large. Tess waited on me and she was cool. Really nice Dollar Tree store!”
“I’ve always been able to find what I need here, and I love the craft section. They have a lot of cute and trendy stuff. You can’t go wrong for the price! I also buy all our party supplies here. There is an extensive collection of plates, silverware, tablecloths, balloons, and other decorations. Much cheaper than the party store, and comparable quality.My dad swears by the LA Totally Awesome Carpet Cleaner- it’s the only kind he will use. It is really good, and I’ve started buying it too.There are usually 2 people working the registers, but even then it can get crowded! There is usually a line to check out, but they’re speedy and efficient.”
“The store will close early in the spring/summer because the landlord/owner whoever, will NOT fix the A/C. I have talked to the manager many times about it . She doesn’t want to risk the staffs health. I have gone in there while they stayed open during the spring/summer evening and I was hot and sweating before I left the store. That was a 20 minute visit. I couldn’t imagine being in that extreme heat for eight hours. The manager has asked about the AC situation, and nothing ever gets fixed. Does anyone know who is the landlord of that building? It’s really sad that all the stores around it have a A/C and The Dollar General does not. They are losing a lot of business in the
spring /summer and the staff are losing pay!!! The manager is frustrated that no one will take responsibility. So am I and the rest of the patrons.

“The staff they have at this Dollar General is honestly the BEST EVER! They all work as a team. They work so hard and keep the store always well-stocked and immaculately clean! Megan and Pam are the best ever! They never forget to welcome everyone when they walk through those doors! I have been to many Dollar General stores throughout Kentucky and West Virginia and I can honestly say that This one TOPS THEM ALL!!!”

“Regular save alot . My GPS did not pick up the location of this save alot for some reason. If you are looking for a save alot on Versailles road there is one close to McDonald's. If anyone else has this issue.”
“Amazing what you find seasonal here! Able to run in and find unique sensory gifts for small kids, affordable toys and decor that are similar to higher end stores. Often used for quick pick up of milk. Like that staff asks questions to needs and experience when checking out.”
“The staff here is golden, IDK how they do it, they're so busy. It seems like a fairly busy store just customer wise, I stop thru sometimes omw home. It's clean, though and everything seems to be in order, as it can be for a dollar store in the holiday highway. 10/10 the guys here have been super nice!”

“The dollar general is on one side of the store and the Dollar tree is on the other side of the store they're split in half but it is really clean inside the employees seem nicer the experience was awesome was way better than the store they had there before even though the Dollar tree sad looks exactly the same as it did before”

“I will have to say, that out if all the Dollar Trees that I have frequented, this has got to be the cleanest, most well-stocked one in the bunch! Everytime I go in , there is a nice helpful staff waiting to help you if needed . The aisles are clean and it doesn't look like a bomb went Boom! Hats off to the managers there , and their staff! Well- done!! Pleased with the mapleleaf store and if I haven't seen them all in Lexington, I'll keep u posted.M.E.L”
“Blast from the past. Reminds me of an old school department store, and has some of the best prices in Lexington. Very clean and well organized, which is never a certainty with discount stores. The nearby strip malls are also from the land that time forgot (in the best possible way). Check it out.”
“Best store ever. Everyone here works thier tales off. Never gets appreciation but I always them thank you for everything. Some of the customers should chill out over showing their id for beer and cigs. It's the law. Instead of being the problem and complaining get a job thier and help out. This store manager works 6 to 7 days weekly while her kids are at home with her husband. I have gotten close to this family. Her youngest is autistic. But yet she still tries to have patience with all of you so cut her some slack and try to put yourself in her shoes. If she leaves the store will be closed.”
“I went into this store for the first time in about a year. I was pleasantly pleased how organized it was. However the front doors were filthy. They had a dirty glaze over him that needed to be cleaned. I probably should have said something as a reminder but I forgot to.
The cashier was friendly and I will return. Hopefully if you read this you'll get those front doors cleaned”
