“The hotel and staff were delightful, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were there on a particularly cold night and it was impossible to sit st the bar without getting hit by the cold air coming in whenever someone entered the lobby from outside. We felt bad for the bartenders that have to deal with this for hours! It may help to add a delay between the two sets of sliding doors, or add some heaters to offset the cold air.”

“The Rainfall showers are amazing. I may have showered more than once a day a couple days ? Staff were super friendly, however not so eager to assist if there were an issue. I'll at least take friendly reluctance over a hateful attitude anytime!
There's a quaint little bar down by the lobby with some great little plates as well as desserts. Nat was our bartender and she was delightful. Definitely will stay there again.”
“I love this Mariott. Beds comfy with new, fluffy pillows and it’s as clean as a whistle! I stay once every year when l commute to my winter condo. Grace was very kind and breakfast hot and fresh. The gym was clean and newer treadmills make my workout comfortable.”

“This was a fantastic hotel for visiting the University of Kentucky and not breaking the bank. Close to campus, shopping and food. The room was very spacious and clean. So much space to move around and be in your own space. If you had a few kids and needed a place to stay in Lexington near the University of Kentucky, I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express.”

“My husband, myself and our fur baby Duke absolutely enjoyed our stay. After our RV broke down and sitting for four in half hours in the frigid cold, it was so nice to get to our room with the most comfortable beds and warm up. This was the first time Duke stayed in hotel room and he LOVED it. Duke had a queen size bed to himself
He made friends with everyone there. There was a special young lady named Sarah who works there and Duke absolutely loves her. I just want to thank Sarah for her kindness to our boy. I will definitely stay here again. The room was clean, warm and two queen beds that were amazingly comfortable. Thank you Double Tree for an amazing stay. Sarah again Thank you for your kindness it meant the world to us. Love, The Williams family❤️”

“This is our 2nd stay thid year. The roomd was clean and spacious. I like the suite style hotels because of the extra room and full size refrigerator.
The breakfast was good and I really like the yogurt bar and cut fruit. The waffles and cheese omelets were good, too. The hotel is within walking distance of Drakes, Applebee's, a Mexican restaurant and Starbucks. For coffee we drove east a few minutes and found a Leestown Coffee, a great local place.
Overall, it was quiet although we could hear people above us walking around at 11:30 at night. I wish hotel floors and doors were more soundproof. Staff were very nice and check in was quick.”
“The room is a little bit small, although that seems to be how all Avids are - nothing atypical about this one. Perfectly fine for one night though. A little bit of grime on the shower but overall clean enough.”

“This hotel was fabulous. The room was very spacious, clean as could be, well decorated and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Slept well. The hotel lobby was super nice. There is a bar and a Japanese Restaurant located just past the lobby. Plenty of parking. Close to literally every kind of restaurant, shopping, gas station. Great location. Easy access to interstate. Will definitely stay again. Very pleased.”
“My son was in an accident and this hotel was near his hospital. The counter staff were kind, understanding and Soo helpful when I had to extend my stay. They accommodated my Mastiff puppy so well. I would recommend to anyone.”

“Fantastic room, great location for us, excellent service. The only downsides are that it was a little bit dark (they could use one more lamp or overhead light), and there was a big snowstorm overnight that dropped - no kidding - 3ft of snow off the roof right in front of our door.”

“Overall great stay. No payment issues. Working toilet. They charge 3 dollars a day for parking, which wasn't mentioned on Expedia. This is only a minor complaint given the cost of only 3 dollars. It would be more of an issue if it were much higher. The pool was under maintenance, but the staff was able to get us access to the pool of a partner hotel. Decent distance away from downtown.”
“This may be the best La Quinta Inn I've stayed in. The location is good, right off the interstate. Check in was fast and easy. The room looked brand new, bright and comfortable. The bathroom included a walk in shower! Lots of good parking and a good free breakfast. It was perfect after a 10 hour drive. A great value for what I paid, too. Highly recommend!!!”

Towels were not to the point that I would call them threadbare, but definitely not the plush towels that I usually get at Hampton Inns. Paint is cracked and peeling in the room. Hot water very limited in the shower. Overall, about what I expect from a lower tiered hotel chain.”

“Pictures of the hotel from website were nicer than the room, the room did serve its purpose tho. And..it’s right in the Square in Lexington so I imagine a lot of traffic wears down the hotels quicker. Great view out of our window. Saw the arena and a bunch of stores lit up, view of the park too. Room felt warm/hard to get it cold in there even at 70 degrees. Some construction going on in middle of hotel which they post about on the website but didn’t affect any of our plans. The pool was very warm and it had lights, so it looked beautiful just like the website pics. There is a shower room there but the water was cold only, never got warm. We had stayed in another Hilton hotel a few days earlier, but this room was much more expensive but with less- room was smaller, no microwave, and fridge was smaller. When we were leaving to go explore one day, there was an enormous cockroach in front of the room door diagonal from ours. We told the cleaning lady we saw in the hall and the woman at the front desk- they didn’t seem to care much. So overall- great location and the pool were the biggest pros for us .”

“It was easy to check in. Room was nice, with comfortable beds as described. Bathroom was modern & easy to use for someone with disabilities. Hotel was undergoing remodeling, which somewhat interfered with our experience. Hotel was stingy with amenities like: no toothbrushes/toothpaste/mouthwash/ razor/ shaving cream; limited soap/ towels/wash cloths. No instructions for the baseboard heater unit. Cobwebs on lamps. Very friendly helpful staff.”
