“I stayed because my apartment flooded and maintenamadw a mess of my apartment. The lady in the front was patient and kind even though I woke her up with my later arrival to get a room, the tub is just the right size to de stress but not fall asleep and sink in, I didn't get bit by anything, the bathroom was clean and towels weren't worn, stained or stinky, I felt safer than in most hotels I've stayed in. My only iffy part is no chain lock on the door so I put the chair under the door knob, there was a safe lock on the door so I was fine and i understand why the locks are like that. People think because it's "on the cheaper side" it's convenient to use whatever drug and stay over check out time and the owner has to be able to gain access. Replacing doors and locks and frames aren't cheap by any means. I will go back and recommend.”

“We had a wonderful experience. From the time we made our reservations until the time we checked out everything was fantastic. Allen was the perfect host. We asked for a Anniversary celebration package for our friends and it was fabulous. Wine, roses and chocolate coverd strawberries. The mansion is beautiful and welcoming. Historic neighborhood. Our room was very comfortable. Allen was so helpful and accommodating, from assisting with dinner reservations to the amazing breakfasts, wonderful homemade cookies to the fabulous old fashions! We would highly recommend the Louisville Bourbon Inn!”

“Jeff and Alicia with valet are phenomenal! The hotel is beautiful, the only thing preventing the last star for me is that I travel with a service dog and there is no grass area right here for me to take him. Comes with the downtown area for the most part, lots of interesting shops and good food.Walkability: Everything seems to be in a good waking distance.Food & drinks: Lots of food and drink options in walking distance.”

“The Brown, is, like others say, an incredible throwback in time. In its day, The Brown must have been completely spectacular, and many parts still are. The lobby is phenomenal. When you sit there you are almost transported to 1943- where the room would be buzzing with music, soldiers, smoke, drinks, and well dressed ladies. The hotel staff is great all around- very polite and accommodating. Elevators are good. Ballroom is nostalgic elegance- but needs some TLC. The location is decent, but not great, as it’s not near that much. The rooms *can* be an issue. Our first room had many defects- broken trim, large carpet stains, pealing wall paper, dirty doors, and worst of all, a very strong musty odor. The staff quickly moved us to a new room, and they made sure it wasn’t musty first. They also comped breakfast (after I asked). Thats all great, but the first room should have been checked and never booked to a customer in the first place. One strange thing- we have never seen toilets that are so low to the ground. What’s with that?? The food is decent; not the best, but seemingly good for the area. I am not a huge fan of the Hot Brown, but I guess others like it. On to the gym- it’s basic, and more of an afterthought. The gym is located on the 4th floor. That floor is really too beat up to show to customers. There is a rooftop deck on the 16th floor, which is nice, and most people don’t seem to know about. If you like nostalgia, period decor, and 1920’s architecture, you will love The Brown. My advice would be to inspect your room ASAP and change it if anything is wrong. In my personal opinion, the overall hotel needs some TLC. However, it is clearly not an easy property to maintain given how intricate and old it is. Hopefully The Brown will last, with some upgrades, for years to come. There are too few places like it anymore.”

“Rooms are sparse but clean and well-kept. Walls are thin so good luck sleeping if your neighbor uses the television. I get why they group rooms together when the house isn't full but some space between occupied rooms, when an option, would be great. The toilet was dated and could do with replacing. In a perfect world there would be a bidet. Staff are fantastic, as always when I visit this location. Location is near major routes and some chain restaurants as well as box-store shopping.”

“Our stay at Cambria Hotel Louisville was outstanding! The location, service, and accommodations were top-notch. Special thanks to Joseph Hess at the front desk for his exceptional assistance in tracking down and shipping a lost item back to us promptly. The hotel's blend of historic charm and modern luxury made our Kentucky Derby experience unforgettable. We'll definitely be back!”

“This is the best comfort inn, hands down! The breakfast was amazing! Waffles and pancakes! We have never stayed at a hotel with both options! There was sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, orange juice, milk, apple juice, and coffee. We liked where the hotel was options for eating and gas stations, not even a mile from the hotel. There was a McDonald's, subway, and a cracker barrel. Plus, 2 gas stations and the interstate were easy to get on and off.”

“I only stayed there one night, I was feeling paranoid at the time. This was the April b4 last. I got an eerie feeling when I was there, there were many celebs in the river restaurant. It's practically walking distance to the hotel, you know I got the feeling that some people were planning an unexpected visit, thank God that I left the next day, Kathy Ahern”

“I want to thank Ms. Sandra in housekeeping! She went above and beyond to help me. I accidentally threw away my diamond ring (we were there celebrating our anniversary). She got the trash can and helped me go through all that trash to find it. She was just as excited as I was to find it! I also want to thank the black woman in room service. She realized we were celebrating and brought us chocolate covered strawberries and a mini raspberry cake. We felt so special on our 9th wedding anniversary! Thank you both.”

“Went to this hotel for the Miami Hurricanes game against Louisville. Great experience, free shuttle to and from airport, clean room, exceptional location to restaurants and bars and Raeleigh at the front desk was great!

Even walked back from L&N stadium, only a 3.5 mile walk through nice back streets. Tons of CANES fans staying at the hotel and we came away with the big W!!!”

“We checked into this hotel at the last minute the night before the eclipse last week and it is hands down THE BEST HOTEL WE'VE EVER STAYED IN! The front desk staff (at check in and check out) we're friendly and courteous, and they didn't price gouge either (which many of the area hotels were doing due to the proximity to the eclipse event). We thoroughly enjoyed every minute there - the room was beautiful and clean, the bed was SO comfortable, the shower was wonderful (great water pressure), and the breakfast area was comfortable with good food. It truly could not have been better.”

“Better than the other Hilton properties at this exit, for my money. Very clean, super friendly staff. Breakfast bar was good but lacks non-sugary cereal options. Also, the fridge holding yogurt was not cold ( I told the staff). Am in the area semi-frequently, will stay here IF the price is right.

Rooms: Clean

Nearby activities: Bourbon trail, Bernheim Forest, airport”

“Fantastic, this TownePlace is a hidden gem. Immediately the staff is so welcoming and accommodating. I had a very late check in and was upgraded due to my status and the room was absolutely great. Comfy beds, nice kitchen space, CLEAN! It’s not a new Marriott by any means but it sure feels like it’s been taken care of. The General manager knows what she’s doing with the place. The town is quiet and has an absolutely beautiful view, pubs and restaurants down the street, and the Bridge walk at night is lovely. Great find and I’ll be sure to make this my new location when passing by. Book with confidence!Rooms: Great rooms, had a king suit which was fantastic, and a regular king room which had my needs.Nearby activities: Exploring the history of JeffersonvilleWalkability: Park and bridge walk right in front of location.Food & drinks: Lots of restaurant choices for a small town.”

“Checked in October 16th for an event my daughter had at Sullivan University. Stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Luck be have it we were less than a mile away, practically across the busy street from the dorms she had to be at so we were very close! Not far from the university either so location was perfect for us! My mother is handicapped so we asked for an assessable room. She is paralyzed on her right side so we were thrilled when we got into our room and the assessable bathroom was built for a left handed person! It is so hard to find handicap public bathrooms with the safety bars on the left side and not only were they on the left for the toilet, they were in the shower as well! The shower was great for her with a sit down bench and a shower head on a handheld sprayer. Water temp and pressure was amazing and I loved just standing there when it was my turn. The room was big plenty of room for her wheelchair and our luggage without feeling claustrophobic. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Even had a chair she could comfortably sit in and get out of, which is also rare. The lobby was massive, it was clean, and very new looking. Breakfast was your standard Continental breakfast with cheesy omelet options, sausage patties, sausage, gravy, biscuit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, and a pancake maker. Also had fresh coffee and juice. If my daughter ends up going to school in Louisville, this is for sure the hotel we will be staying at when we visit!”

“We had a pleasant stay overall. We weren’t looking for bells and whistles since it was just a one night stay. The downtown area isMt as safe feeling as the areas a little piece away. However, we were comfortable with it because the front doors of the hotel were locked, and, the outdoor area was on the second level. The rooms have been updated and felt very clean. The front desk personnel were super friendly. The lady that works in the breakfast area was amazing. When you book just know that you are able to add on breakfast, but it doesn’t come standard. And their breakfast is a sit down order from the menu type breakfast. The only bad thing was that there is limited parking and that you have to pay to park.”
