“Went to shop and at the checkout I noticed that they have a hand held scanner now so they can walk around and scan your items that are bigger so you don’t have to worry about getting them out and putting them up on the belt. I’m not going to write this review on count of prices or food because I think every store needs to get prices under control so that just doesn’t seem to be what’s important for this review and I’m going with what makes life simpler and gets me in and out of a place faster. Therefore, great job with getting the hand scanner and making my shopping experience easier for me and your cashier!”

“I ordered a custom cake over the phone with someone in the bakery. They didn't have it when I went to pick it up. Needless to say, I was beyond angry! Just when I was about to give them a piece of my mind, the manager, Adam, spoke up and saved the day! Not only did he give me a free cake, but he gave my daughter a large stuffed animal! He was so extra nice. He turned a nightmare into a wonderful experience with Food City! I appreciated his kindness and excellent customer service!”
“Fresh seafood, crab & lobster. I get 90% of my meat here. I always get the 5 for $20 as well because it’s something different usually and it’s stuff I can use at a good price. The produce is higher than most but it’s pretty.”
“I don't know what I'd do without this store. I go there at LEAST 4 xs a week if not everyday since I was a little girl. My mother and my grandmother are frequent customers as well. The owners are down to earth, Wonderful, good hearted people that care about their customers. Any time I have asked for a specific product, or more of a specific product they do their best to get it for me. The prices are low and the quality is always good. The employees are very kind and always make you feel welcome.”
“I did not rate this Dollar General for 5-stars entirely on account that the store is always understaffed and it takes a considerable length of time getting checked out as a result of that. Otherwise, it is operated effectively and efficiently.”
“This is a Christian based food pantry designed for low income families, (generally those who qualify for other types of public assistance). It is open every Tuesday. I think the hours are 1pm-4pm. Initial sign up requires a utility bill with your PHYSICAL address on it. Social security cards for those in the family. And signing a statement that attests to those in the household and the monthly income amount. Upon verification, a person will receive a card and once a month, a person is permitted to receive food. Now, a new program has opened for seniors 60 and older, and the 2nd Tuesday of the month is dedicated to serving them ONLY. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs assistance, as every little bit helps!”
