The Baton Rouge Marriott offers a mixed experience for guests. While some find the hotel to be a pleasant stay with clean rooms, fancy shower heads, and a lively lobby, others have encountered issues during their visits. The hotel's location is convenient, situated next to Hooters and close to Louisiana State University. Guests appreciate the excellent breakfast with a view of the LSU game. The front desk staff have also been praised for their helpfulness, particularly in accommodating guests during busy weekends. However, some guests have faced problems with the hotel's amenities. The EV charging station was described as a "no-name trash brand" that was difficult to activate, with an intrusive security camera monitoring the area. Guests have also complained about the obnoxious thermostats that shut off quickly, leaving rooms uncomfortably hot. The rooms are generally decent, with comfortable beds and wood finishings, though some guests were disappointed to find lamps, outlets, and toiletries not functioning properly. The hotel's overall value has been called into question, with one guest stating they may "think twice about paying a premium" for the Baton Rouge Marriott in the future. Despite these issues, the hotel's staff have been described as welcoming and professional, and the pool and club lounge are well-maintained. Overall, the Baton Rouge Marriott offers a mixed experience for guests.
One of the best rooms I've stayed in so far. Also has bar on location.

I loved the clean room, the fancy shower heads in the bathroom, the lively lobby. The excellent breakfast, with a good view of the LSU game. And, it's right next door to Hooters...

Front desk was able to help me get a room on a Friday night during a home coming game. We were in town for work and had drove over 12 hours. It was a true blessing she helped us.
