“Best framer on the WESTBANK…probably the east bank, too! I just realized that I hadn’t posted a review when I was sharing the site with a friend. I’ve used this shop for many years. I take all of my art to him, and am always extremely happy with the finished product. I recommend him to everyone I know.”

“Zack and team did a great job communiating and working with us to shoot video at a mardi gras event. This was not an easy request becasue we needed his team to follow our team over two days for video production. Communcation was great on working toward final edited version. I highly recommend Zack Smith Photography”

“Zele has a very unique collection of art, crafts, prints, photos and more from local artists, each with their own pop-up booth space running the length of the store. Also, a good inspiration for making your own crafts, if so inclined.”

“This is literally my favorite shop! I could have stayed all day. The art is so fun and happy. The owner is a joy too. I loved it so much that, even though the rain blew out my paper bag and the items I purchased were broken, I am going to fashion fixes for them and make them work. The items are just too cute to discard. You won't stop smiling! A must visit!”

“Since 2020 I have had the opportunity to attend many events at Fire House Loft and since recently have been able to host. What is consistent from both sides is the extraordinary experience and service. Sean and his team go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met and the vibes are set. Perfect for an intimate gathering, large celebration or corporate meeting - Fire House exceeds all expectations and would 10/10 recommend - local & visitors alike!”

“Unique but I don't believe it's local artist work, but it has shabby chique items that are great, a lot of great prints and parts of automobiles as furniture. I love a lot of what they have but it's not cheap.”

“Visit this gallery. Upon entering there was an immediate feeling of a positive relaxed vibe. Colorful, vibrant, artwork filled my senses. The ladies were bright and personable. What a fun experience for me visiting this gallery. I have been going New Orleans for years and been familiar with Pete The Cat. This visit I decided I needed some Pete The Cat in my life. The staff helped me with framing, matched the mat perfectly with the accent colors in the print. I’m so glad I had them do the framing it was professionally and perfectly done. This purchase experience was so much fun. Thank you to the ladies who helped me at the gallery. The print is beautiful on my wall and is a perfect addition to my colorful eclectic art collection. It’s done so well it looks like an original.”

“Such a great shop! Got a little cortado cup that’s so perfect from here. The owners work on their pottery from the counter. Gorgeous works ranging in price from $20 for ornaments, 25, 35, and 60 for mugs, and hundreds for very special and massive pieces. Had a great conversation with Alex, he was telling me about how him and his wife have been doing this since the 90s and got some awesome neighborhood coffee shop recs, too.

Beautiful blue mug to add to my collection. Can’t wait to use it!”

“A possum themed boutique? In New Orleans? Say less!

Okay- so first off, if you're looking for this business on Google, there's photos of a live possum resting in the shop (I think it's dated like 6 years ago). There is NO live possum in store. There. Just level-setting things. (I somehow was really excited for a live possum, but alas....)

Okay, BUT the possum items are ADORABLE!!! The best photo ops, and there is so much thought and detail and care. I got a small plush possum- and it even came with food (sprinkles) and a birth certificate, and how to care for it.

They also gave me a few extra stickers. SO CUTE!!!”

“What a refreshing, modern, unassuming one of a kind gallery found within the stuffy Julia St. art district in New Orleans. Ariodante Contemporary Craft Gallery is a true treasure chest of unique wares to choose from. Their collection of art is supplied by various local artists who’s range vary in talent and medium choice. All works are very unique and priced reasonably. The gallery is maintained/managed by a marvelous curator, Laurie. She obviously knows the artist and their works. She does her very best for customers by making sure that works selected to be sold in the shop are what customers are looking for before they even know what they’ll love. I found and purchased a lovely Cuban-box sliver bracelet that I didn’t know I needed until she informed about the artist and his pieces; further she explained the talent needed to make said bracelet and she contacted the artist for further information about the bracelet.
This gallery is must for every tourist visiting New Orleans.
PS Once home Laurie sent a thank you note! Now that’s charming.”

“We happened upon this while walking around after getting Beignets and we loved this artist co-op! Lots of beautiful art in every price range. We bought a great print and wood
Piece, both frog themed. Very happy with our visit here, the staff were friendly. I would definitely come back here anytime I’m in New Orleans. I also loved the artist that painted on individual dominoes. Here you can find prints, wood art, paintings, metal art, domino art, magnets, jewelry, leather goods, etc. excellent variety of styles. Much of it New Orleans-themed.”

“Lovely people here. They rushed my frame. We found a scratch on the acrylic. They immediately replaced it with a new piece within 30 minutes. All done with a great attitude. Thank you!”

“The best collection of true collectibles I have visited in New Orleans. This is not a low budget thrift store- You are not going to find items under $10. However, it is quality, vintage, and mid-century modern collectibles at an affordable price. They do run 1/2 price tag specials as well. I highly recommend checking them out.”

“A very cool shop that smells good. I just went in knowing nothing ‘bout nothing and left with the same knowledge, but with an all-purpose voodoo doll. Stop in and browse. It smells really good.”

“I was walking through the French Quarter, doing some sightseeing, and decided to stop in to check out the art. I met Troy who was the sales manager at the Kezic Gallery. He allowed me to walk around the gallery and answered my questions. Really enjoyed the short time I spent there. They have a nice selection of art, priced at various price points.”

“The Mystic Blue Signs shop has quite a variety of posters, postcards and other unique merch. I had them re-painted the address numbers on our door transom, which look very nice now. Definitely the people to use for any window or other hand painted sign, unless you’re looking for one of Simon’s unique and recognizable whimsical signs seen throughout NOLA. His workshop is just ‘round the corner on Jackson. Be sure to visit both.”

“I had such a great time in this shop on my last visit to New Orleans! The owner was so kind and welcoming - he gave me lots of tips for places to check out in the area. And the beautiful art makes for a one-of-a-kind souvenir. Be sure to check out their neighboring storefront next door, Le Jardin, which is in a beautiful courtyard!”
