“I had the pleasure of discovering Zack Smith Photographer while searching for a skilled photographer for our 2024 summit in New Orleans, Louisiana. After reading numerous glowing reviews about Zack's ability to create a comfortable atmosphere for his subjects, I decided to give him a try, and I am thrilled with the results.Zack's talent and professionalism were evident from the moment we met. He undertook the task of capturing headshots for 96 of our company leaders, and his efficiency and precision were truly impressive. Despite the sizable number of individuals, Zack maintained a timely pace and ensured that each person felt at ease during their session. What sets Zack apart is his unique ability to connect with his subjects, making the entire experience enjoyable for everyone involved. The positive energy he exudes undoubtedly contributes to the excellent results he produces. Our company leaders not only appreciated his skills behind the camera but also thoroughly enjoyed the process of working with him.In addition to the individual headshots, Zack accommodated our requests for group photos, capturing the essence of our leadership teams and specific groups with a keen eye for detail. The final results exceeded our expectations, reflecting his commitment to delivering high-quality work.As someone who organizes events regularly, I can confidently say that Zack Smith Photographers will be at the top of my list for future photography needs in New Orleans. His professionalism, expertise, and ability to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment make him an invaluable asset. I highly recommend Zack to anyone seeking a photographer who goes above and beyond to capture memorable moments with finesse.”

“This place. There are no words to describe the emotions that go through you as you walk this space; they run the gamut of extreme anger to buoyant joy but always as a backdrop to the awe of the beauty and the appreciation of the creativity that envelops the space. These artists, wow. My favorite piece was the so simple yet poignant bench in the midst of cotton turning into flowers (mic dropped). The other pieces paying homage to black leaders (I loved the John Lewis portrait- he is not lauded enough) are great and expected but the cotton turning into flowers… please go and visit and let this space speak to your heart.”

“The cutest shop! I bought stickers, plants with painted pots, toted bags and such here. I highly recommend going! The owner is so sweet and she created much of the stickers, designs on the tote bag and more. If youre looking for also cute gifts for people and such, it is an awesome shop for it. They also have a few vegan bags, pretty jewelry, kitchen things, and more. Definitely stop by on your walk on Magazine Street!”

“You can spend 15 minutes or 2 hours admiring wonderful art, fancy jewelry or amazingly crafted furniture all owned by a piece of history. I loved all the Churchill pieces during this visit. Skipped the jewelry but enjoyed watching the video on how to unlock a secret safe from the 17th century. What I like the most is that all the items are constantly being sold and rotated out. One piece you admire in that moment may be being sold or being moved to an auction somewhere else. Fun and FREE. So if you are walking and shopping on Royal, in the French Quarter stop in.”

“I discovered the gallery by chance on the way home to the hotel and was thrilled by the works on display. Due to the fact that a lot of material was used, the individual images almost had a 3D effect when looked at closely. The colors chosen were enthusiastic, especially those that used the current autumn colors. According to on-site advice, delivery is also possible - but the pictures can also be rolled up.”

“I have been collecting Thomas Mann for over 30 years. Never have I had a problem with any piece I have purchased. The quality is wonderful. The design is unique and both romantic and modern. It is the best jeweler in New Orleans hands-down, and I have been to them all. If you appreciate unusual jewelry that people comment on constantly, do yourself a favor and explore the world of Thomas Mann. You will be intrigued and charmed.”

“This is a wonderful gift shop, that specializes in local artist made items. If you are looking for quality items to gift or take home as a souvenir of your visit to New Orleans, this shop is a great choice! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The offerings are interesting and well made. The store is pleasantly arranged and easy to browse. Prices are fair. (This is NOT a French Quarter junky souvenir shop!)”

“Wonderfully kind people here! I’m furnishing a second home and dropped into Potsalot for a set of everyday dinnerware and it did not disappoint. I ended up splurging on some unexpected unique and beautiful pieces, each with a lovely backstory, that I can’t wait to have become part of my daily life. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in New Orleans.”

“The art here is wonderful. If you have pets (and especially if you have weenie dogs) you will like what they have. The staff is friendly and informed. The gallery can ship prints and items to you and they do a very nice job of packaging the items. They were kind enough to have the artist enscribe the back of the piece with a personalized message. I'm looking forward to getting more from this gallery in the future, and I think any dog or cat lover would be happy with any of these pieces as a gift.”

“If you have an event in Nola you need to do it at the Firehouse Loft! If you're considering other venues, don't. The venue is gorgeous, the owner and staff are super helpful and the nicest people.Preamble: We live outside Louisiana and were coming for celebration of life for my father, New Orleans style, looking for a venue that would suit the vibe we were looking for. Once we found Firehouse we realized quickly we couldn't do it anywhere else. The Venue: Modern, yet historic. The building is a converted firehouse, as the name implies. Sean, the owner, and his team did a great job elevating the space into something modern and conversational. Every detail was done tastefully, from the art, furniture, to general flow for any event size. They typically are tailored to festive, work or personal, events but even as a celebration of life the venue was perfect. The Staff: Sean and his team were super communicative throughout the process, even going above and beyond in the planning stage and throughout the event and after. They have vendors that support any festivity and can accommodate all price points. For reference, we only rented the space and a bartender to serve wine and beer, but they ramp up options from there.I cannot say enough about both the staff and venue. It is hard to fault the space in any form. The only real criticism I could render is that the space does not have an elevator, which in the case of our party was not a problem but could be if attendees have mobility problems. The space is on the second floor so be aware of that. I know overly glowing reviews typically raise an eyebrow or two, but there is almost nothing to fault and I struggled to find one, so there you go. Again, truly appreciate Firehouse Loft and Sean's team for everything they did.”

“This is a wonderful Voodoo shop with many options to buy spiritual related items. Voodoo is a religion long misunderstood, and just talking to the staff, you can understand it much better for what it really is. I wasn’t planning, but I decided to have a spiritual consultation last minute, and I’m so glad I did! I had a wonderful reading with Kamille, who is such an amazing person and provided an amazing reading. She was SO on point and brought me a lot of clarity and peace. I’m grateful to have met such beautiful souls like you, Kamille! Thank you for your outstanding work!”

“Unique furniture with a trendy style. A little pricey, but a great selection. The art was fun and unusual. I could spend hours taking my time and looking at every piece like it's a gallery. The location is great and easy to get to.”

“I absolutely love this place. We've been buying artwork, apparel and other items from Cocoally for almost 13 years. This was our first time in this boutique and were so excited to actually meet Ally. She even took our picture for us. It's a must if you're ever in NOLA.”

“There are so many galleries that line the French Quarter, but my eyes literally pulled me into this space! His paintings are so strong and powerful! Many different media, as well as sculptures, that the artist was in the middle of working in and creating. His works are so powerful and evocative, and the images stayed with me and I could still see them when I closed my eyes! Well worth a visit!!! Beautiful, unique and heart stopping!! I couldn’t take more photos inside because we were busy talking to the artist and truthfully, you need to go see his works for yourself!!!!!”

“Small, deceptive shop with many premade options, and good coffee. Seating indoors and out. Both bread and pasties available. They did state they don’t do pork products. No problem, the turkey bacon on our croissant sandwich was tasty.”

“I had such a great time in this shop on my last visit to New Orleans! The owner was so kind and welcoming - he gave me lots of tips for places to check out in the area. And the beautiful art makes for a one-of-a-kind souvenir. Be sure to check out their neighboring storefront next door, Le Jardin, which is in a beautiful courtyard!”

“I stopped in on my trip to New Orleans and fell in love! The ladies here are absolutely phenomenal! They knew what I needed before I even spoke a word! Then my husband needed some help ordering my moldivite! They went above and beyond even FaceTiming him to make sure they chose the right one for me! Thanx again Nola! Y’all are amazing!!”

“Just go! Some superb works in here. I love the style. Picked a few very keenly priced smaller works but skys the limit. Our server was super nice, and we chatted loads over WWOZ radio....what more you want? Thanks so much. ❤️?”

“Absolutely enchanted by the way Frank Relle captures nature! I was impressed by his work online, but there's nothing quite like seeing the real deal in person. You can tell he shoots them with the purpose of making the viewer feel like part of the scene. The lighting is so perfect you feel like you can walk into each photograph. This is not your average stuffy gallery. The staff here elevate the experience by being warm, approachable and knowledgable about the artists approach to the medium. The video walking you behind the scenes was a nice touch; it leaves you feeling honored to have witnessed the creative process that led to works of art surrounding you. If you have space in your home or office, you won't be able to walk away without taking a piece with you.”

“Simon is a talented artist and his artwork found throughout New Orleans is instantly recognizable. He created a beautiful customized art piece for our wedding. Instead of a standard guestbook, we asked our guests to leave us a message on the sign. We will treasure this piece forever! Recommend coming by, checking out some of his art, and chatting with him if he is around!”

“My favorite little eclectic coffee shop. Funky art adorns the walls, various seating options for work, chatting or just relaxing. Knowledgeable staff creates the best coffee concoctions with chess-themed names. Bonus: chess, open mic and art classes are offered throughout the week.Vegetarian options: The grab and go pastries (veggie options) are baked and brought in from Gracious Bakery.”
