“I have purchased my husband's Black Forest birthday cake from a gourmet bakery (in Hammond) for almost 20 years now. I've always had to get his cake at least one day early, as his birthday is on July 4th. The gourmet shop is closed July 4th. This year I would've had to get his cake 3 days BEFORE his birthday. 4th of July fell on Tuesday and bakery is closed on Sunday & Monday. Rouses always has great bakery goods, so I decided I would try their Black Forest for a change. AT ROUSES . . .I can pick his cake up ON his actual birthday, July 4th!The cakes from both bakeries were comparable in size.The Rouses cake was very moist. The gourmet shop has always been dry. I'd come to think that Black Forest were meant to be dry. There was MUCH MORE shaved chocolate on the Rouses cake!I don't actually care for anything too sweet, but even I have always found the gourmet shop's cake whipped frosting bland. I've actually told my husband I think it has no flavor at all. The Rouses whipped frosting (in comparison) was just as creamy and light as the gourmet shop, YET it had a slight sweetness that was perfect! I love it, because it has ACTUAL FLAVOR without being too sweet.Although I have never mind paying the high cost of the gourmet bakery shop . . . the Rouses cake was (literally) HALF THE PRICE! ONLY thing the gourmet bakery does better is they dip the cherries that go on top of the cake in chocolate. I can dip the cherries myself!I'll never go anywhere else!”

“1st time there and I must say I was really impressed on how clean the store was, the employees was very helpful on where items was, the meat section was fantastic, how they were placed in a neat and orderly fashion was mind blowing aka outstanding ?. My sister inlaw from California was with me and was also impressed please keep up the work that you do...I will definitely come back to do my shopping from now on,and I'm from amite la, definitely worth the drive ti your store...”

“Homeless man laying around the other side of the stripmall looked like he was dying in the heat. The butcher gave us some ice and we bought water for him. The homeless man ended up being pretty rude. Everyone was nice and caring wanting to help. Great staff! Glad to see people care. Thank you for being good people.”

“Most of the material that I bought I normally get it at the Dollar tree but since they have went up from $1 to $1.25 many of the items are on the dollar aisle at Dollar general case in point facial napkins $1 a package of three toothbrushes $1 storage bags $1 so I love their dollar out because they are well stocked and I can still get my items for $1”

“Helpful ,respectful, clean. Good in store selection, liquor,, cigarettes lotto, food snacks indoor ATM.and gasoline. Not far off the interstate being just a little out of town making their prices just a little lower. They accept EBT, CASH,DEBIT & CREDIT CARD. Right over the overpasses on Hwy 43 in Albany going towards Springfield . A hidden gem.”

“I'm going to leave a 5 star just due to the fact Ms. Jenny and Ms. Carla were so nice and totally redeemed the mess that occurred with a manager named Jamie (darker guy) in the tire department at Walmart in Hammond, LA. When arriving to the tire station (outside), no one came and assisted me, nor did anyone ask if I needed help. Two men who were on their phones and did not acknowledge that I pulled up. As I walked inside of the tire department, a manager (man named Jamie) who looked very unhappy was on his phone texting, and gave me a look as if I was a bother to him when asking for assistance. He shrugged the whole time and kept blowing air due to his own life aggravation. I am not educated in the tire department, I had no clue what size tires I needed. He asked me if I could go to my car's manual to see what size was my tire. When I told him I did not have a manual in my vehicle, he told me he would try to look it up on his system but he couldn't promise me anything. Meanwhile, he was on his phone and seemed very urged to be helping me. I could not believe this man was a manager. He was very unprofessional. I finally pulled up the size tire on MY phone and when I asked him to help me order them, he told me I had to be the one who ordered them and he was busy, momentarily. Lol. So, I went home and ordered them ( I ended up saving a lot more this way). Glad he was too busy with his texting to help, it always works out. When arriving today, everyone was eager to help! Miss Jenny and Carla went above and beyond to find the tires I had ordered previously. The cashier was a little antsy to leave, but I'm sure it had been a long day. They were very busy! It took a little longer than usual, but the job was done! I will come back just because of the great service this team did for me today! If it were up to the manager”

“Parking lot layout and entry/exit traffic patterns could be improved. Helpful and friendly service desk person. Quick self checkout. Computer glitch made return less than smooth. Good variety of products. Almost impossible to find products not made in China which I would rate Walmart 1 or 2 stars for.”
