My first purchase, ten years ago, was a super soft printed T-shirt, one of their original designs and the product that launched the whole enterprise. It was so nice that it went missing from my hotel room in Miami less than two weeks later!They have nine locations throughout the city and surrounds plus an outlet at Louis Armstrong International Airport, for those last minute purchases.”

“Upscale souvenir shop with late evening hours. They have a large selection of sweatshirts, hoodies, T-shirts, ornaments, shot glasses, magnets, and more. The staff is friendly and doesn’t bother you when you look around. Prices are a little higher but competitive, especially since every other gift shop in the quarter closes at 4 or 5 p.m. I would recommend.”

“Been going here for years. This place has everything Mardi gras, christmas, saints, and Halloween that you will ever need. I only wish they were open later in the evening around the holidays. With work it's hard for me to get there much before 6 or 7:00 at night most days. But this place is a family tradition and my daughter has grown up in that store. Excellent owners and management. Employees are always wonderful.”

“Was told about by a friend who lives in New Orleans. Found shop in French Quarter and selection of unique items was extensive. From small nicknacks to some larger items I did not explore. I was looking for some gifts to take home and was told of an item I easily found after asking one of the employees about it. I wanted some soup cups with southern style recipies on them, namely jambalaya, red beans and rice and sausage and chicken gumbo. Found them quickly and was happy with their appearance and sturdiness . If I get back to New Orleans again, I will try Very hard to make a trip back here to explore and find something I know I will treasure for a long time.”

One does not always intend to acquire art at close to midnight, yet the Quarter had other ideas. Something pulled us toward Dead on Decatur before we had even read the sign. As it turns out, that something was Kelsey. Her energy seems to press through the very walls of the place, drawing you in before you quite realise you’ve changed direction.
Inside, colour and craft collide with confidence. Handmade leather, prints, oddities, pieces with fingerprints still clinging to them. This is not souvenir fodder. It is a channel for local artists, curated with discernment and a touch of mischief. Kelsey’s charisma carries the room, part host, part creative instigator, guiding without hovering, selling without ever feeling like she is selling.
We left with a couple of unique pieces and the distinct sense that our evening had improved by chance. A shop with pulse, personality and purpose.

“Just purchased a beautiful and unique mask from this shop. I saw the mask a week ago and just could not get it out of my mind. The woman who helped me was very kind and attentive. She verified the authenticity of the masks being hand made which is not something you'll find much around the French Quarter as most of them are mass produced. I will absolutely visit this store every time I come to New Orleans.”

“I always love museum gift shops and this one does have a variety of coffee table books, unique gifts, art pins and postcards. It has a truly excellent children’s section (complete with pillows for kids to sit and look at books) - in fact I’d say that’s their best section. However, I think it could work more with local artists for more variety in gifts. And they could have a few more clothing items - when I went they only had one type of t-shirt.”

“They have a large and unique selection of NOLA gear. There's t-shirts, magnets, stickers, jewelry, etc. My biggest plus was that the shirts were also offered in a women's cut. This is so nice for someone like me who hates how the unisex shirts fit. And they have a bathroom that doubles as a fitting room. ? So a big thank you for my new NOLA shirt! ???”

“Stopped by this store because the kids wanted to get masks. They had a large selection of masks so there was plenty to choose from. In addition to masks, they also had other items which were available to purchase. The kids did not find what they were looking for but the staff was friendly and the products looked good. The store was rather small though so it was kind of difficult navigating through the store.”
“Fly Right Galaxy is the cutest little neighborhood spot for unique local gifts and art! They have a huge variety of art and geegaws for any friendly soul and the staff is super kind and helpful. Do yourself a favor and check out this spot!!! Conveniently located in Uptown, right off the block with Parran's, Creole Creamery, and Gracious coffee, also right next to King Pin which is a great local dive bar that often has food trucks and live music. I highly recommend checking out Fly Right Galaxy, you will not regret it!!! 10/10, 10 stars if I could!”
