“The young lady who was working in the fish department was very helpful.She explained what fish not to put with other fish . She also talked to me about the temperature of the water .As soon as she saw us , she greeted us and asked if “we need help?”She also explained the return policy just in case something happens to our fish .We had two large dogs with us also . The lady at the register was also very friendly and polite. She was out of treats . So maybe next time .”

“Went with my son who purchased two Natchez crepe murtle trees in the 15 gallon size. Both trees were very healthy. The employees were super courteous. Store looked very organized and well maintained.
Great central location with easy in and out and a nice parking lot to boot.”
“Such a cute store and friendly owner! Just happened to walk past this place and as a dog owner of 3 beautiful pups, I had to go in. The prices are amazing!! I bought collars, bandanas and a couples shirts all for about $60. It would have costs so much more elsewhere. Again, the owner was so helpful and friendly that it was a pleasure to spend my money with her. Highly recommend.”

“Canine Connection is the best! The facility is clean, spacious, and well-organized. My dog always comes home exhausted (in the best way) from all the socialization and play. It’s obvious they put a lot of thought into the environment they’ve created for the dogs. Highly recommend!”

“I am so grateful that I am able to conveniently buy my cat’s food here. The folks working here are SO. NICE. They always remember my name and my special orders, they were so helpful and understanding while I kept changing my orders due to concerns with bird flu (my cat eats a raw diet), and I honestly always leave smiling because of how friendly and thoughtful they are. The fact that I live close enough to this store, and that I am able to feed my Lula only the best with their help, is seriously such a positive in my life. “I shop both locations in a regular basis- (literally every two weeks for dog food and treats). I went in yesterday afternoon & could not locate the treats I normally buy. Upon asking the guy behind the counter, I got the vibe I was bothering him by being there and talking to him. He told me he believed the brand I was looking for was down aisle 2, but didn’t think you carried anything like that. Not sure if he’s new or what, but I would like someone to step away from the desk and help me look for something when I ask for help. I continued to walk around in circles until I finally found what I was looking for (they changed the packaging on the treats). Then to make it better, I went up to the counter and was expecting my free bag of dog food because they have told me the last TWO times that my NEXT bag would be free. Apparently not- he made me pay for it and said the NEXT one was free. Not sure what’s going on and idk why I’m so bothered about this interaction to be still thinking about it the next day- but I love these stores bc everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I will stop using this location if the Nola hospitality declines.”
“I have been going to this doctor for 40 years. She is spot on with all of my pets, Dr. Sagrera is the best holistic doctor you will ever find in this country. Not only does she heal your fur baby she is intuitive an empath and an Animal Communicator all rolled into one professional doctor. That has all the skills to heal your baby holistically. “I just visited this store for some minnows for my aquatic turtle. I’d been to two locations of a national chain store in the preceding week and they’d both been out of minnows and feeder guppies.
This place is amazing! I haven’t been in a store like this since I was a child. I could absolutely envision it as a filming location for an episode of Stranger Things. There is an enormous selection. I saw the most adorable hedgehog! You could tell it was a family-run place; I saw some kids holding pet snakes walking around with their parents. Super cute, even though I’m not comfortable around snakes. Eek!
I was kind of in a hurry so I didn’t get to browse as long as I wanted to. Next time, I’d like to bring a friend’s kid, because this place is worthy of a field trip.
I’m surprised by other reviewers saying some animals looked unwell or uncared for because I didn’t experience anything like that at all, and I look out for things like that. I know it can be difficult to care for many animals in a retail setting, but every critter I saw here looked healthy and active, which is kind of a feat considering how many there were! In contrast, the single conure I saw at one of the national chain locations looked so sad and dusty. There were some uncaged birds on a stand by the register, which was so nice to see after the lonely birdie at one of the other stores I’d visited.
I can’t comment on prices because we only spent a few dollars, but were treated kindly and attentively even though we were only there to make a very small purchase.
I can’t wait to return and take my time. It’s obvious some people have been long-time customers of this place. I saw several enclosures marked with “on hold for______.” I have a rescued turtle and an inherited cockatiel, so I’ll be back soon.”

“The Algiers Petco is great. Not only is it close to my home but it's also very well supplied and the manager and associates are always available and very helpful. The prices are not the best, but that is because our nation's prices, and everything from gas to groceries have also risen. Petco has not risen extremely, just a little compared to other pet supplies and online services like chewy.com.”

“I needed my dog's nails trimmed, but I did not want to go back to Aurora Companion Animal Hospital again because of the wait (even though I always made appts) plus the way my dog was treated. I walked in, my dog felt comfortable and the nail trim was finished very quickly. I will definitely return to Petco Grooming for my dog's nails trimming!”
“Malik is an amazing staff member. He was very friendly helped me out with everything I needed. He is very kind and I believe he deserves a raise for the way he treated me as a customer. I came in first for some goldfish and had to pick out the ones I wanted. He was patient and caught every fish that I desire. Malik again is very, very nice kind gentle made me feel welcome and I appreciate it. I will be back to this Petco for anything I need in the future. Again, Malik deserves a raise!”
“Love the coffee and tea choices both hot, iced and frozen options. The food is very good. The pastries are fresh and always hits the spot. It's a great place for after church fellowship on Sundays.”

It's not the amount, it's really the principle. The prices are higher here for everything already. Everyone sells the refrigerator food CHEAPER. WHAT'S 9.99 HERE IS 7.29 down the street at Walmart and cheaper at Winn Dixie 7.99.”

“The lady from the groomer side helped me with some melatonin for my dog. She was very nice. The young lady checking out disposition was nice but, I didn't like how she laid my change on the counter. I gave her my money in her hand, she should have given my change back in my Hand.”
