Employees are unfriendly, unhelpful and don’t follow their own company policy and procedure.
I was rushed out of my rental (employee literally got In the car and pulled it forward while I was getting my belongings out of the car), was told I was good to go and to head in to the terminal. I take full responsibility for not slowing down and checking that I may have left an item but felt extremely rushed and unsafe with the moving vehicle. I left my headphones that were the same color as the floor in the car, they must have fallen out of my bag, my headphones are now at a personal residence of the employee rather than turned in to the office at the airport - I called in to try to get help because clearly they’re not going to be “found” via their lost and found process and was told to file a police report rather than work through this with their own employees.

Reserved a vehicle 2 months in advance and vehicle still wasn’t available..spoke with customer service and tried to find vehicle at another location with no luck or help! The local agent apparently called other locations and was not able to find the vehicle.

Counter people had no clue
Can call and speak to a human

I wish I could give no stars. I was charged extra fees after returning the car. These fees were not explained. They were for the facility, concession fee recovery, taxes, and some vehicle license cost recovery. All which are bs. I will not be doing business with them and will be looking into getting my money back.

I returned the car to New Orleans Airport. They erroneously charged me $445 for a damaged windshield and $30 for fuel. I cannot reach a human to discuss. I did send them receipt where I filled tank (even topped it off) 5 minutes before returning it. They also need to prove to me with video that the windshield was damaged, but again, I cannot reach a real person. I am going to have to pursue with Louisiana Attorney General's office. I smell a class action lawsuit coming on because I think they are doing this to many customers.

Limited vehicle selection for for Pres Cir. Two cars reeked of cigarettes, the one I got ended up being NASTY inside once I got out of the garage in the sunlight. Had to stop by CVS and buy cleaning supplies. Driving over 30 mph, the car shakes terribly, obviously someone busted the alignment and vehicle needs the tires balanced. Sad company you are Hertz!

They sent us out with a car that had a bolt in the tire treads and no jack or spare tire in the vehicle so we were stranded when the tire went flat. Don’t rent the Jeep Compass! It is not similar to a Nissan Rogue which does have a spare. Awful experience!

Our flight was delayed less than 45 mins. Went directly to the President's Circle and there were only 3 cars there. 2 had no keys and one had an engine problem and the hood was open. Went to the gold counter and they put us in a Ford Bronco Sport from another section. It was the only other available car we were told. We left the garage and realized the car had an extreme odor, like 'BO'. It was dark and had an hour drive. We stopped on the way to purchase air freshener but it did not help. We also saw 2 live roaches in the car when we stopped for the air freshener. I immediately wanted to go back to the airport but we had family commitments in Baton Rouge. The next morning we found additional live roaches. I used some bug spray but it didn't help. We did not have time to try an exchange the car in Baton Rouge. We ended up borrowing another vehicle from a friend as the stench, filth and roaches were beyond disgusting. It was clear the car had not been cleaned in quite some time. We returned the car on Sunday and I asked to speak to a manager, they took $13 off the rental fee. I did not have time to dispute this as we had to catch a flight. I have been a loyal Hertz car renter for over 30 years and never experienced such a disgusting vehicle. A $13 discount is an insult and Hertz should be embarrassed for renting out a vehicle infested with roaches.

By far the worst place to rent a car from. I made a reservation before my flight from ATL TO NEW ORLEANS and when I got there to pick up my rental car the lady told me that I had to wait 2hrs. They manager came to the front to assist and she had the worst attitude ever she said her name was Ray she refused to give me her real name. Here is a picture of the lady who had a nasty attitude as well.

I had no problem what-so-ever with acquiring the vehicle I requested. The staff greeted me warmly, and walked me through the whole process. I asked for a Jeep, and had a Grey, 4-door, 2025 Jeep waiting for me. Returning the Jeep was very easy too!

I was very satisfied with the check-in and checkout process; however, I was extremely disappointed once I received my final receipt. I reserved the vehicle for a same-day rental, returned it earlier than required, and drove approximately 40 miles in total. To my surprise, the final bill reflected a late return fee and indicated that I had driven over 200 miles.
The mileage recorded on the receipt is clearly incorrect. Fortunately, I documented the actual mileage with a photo before leaving the lot, which proves the discrepancy. It appears the vehicle was driven after I returned it, yet the charges were attributed to me.
This situation is unacceptable, and I am requesting an immediate correction of my final bill and assurance that this matter will be thoroughly investigated.
