Rented a car in New Orleans with over 50k miles on it, as expected car broke down, was towed and we were dropped off at this airport to replace the car, which is OK. When we get there we are told, with a smile on their face, that there aren't any cars available, and pretty much got no attention/alternative on what we should do - we had a long drive for the following day, no attention or care was given by the team at the counter. Had to ask the person to call Hertz' customer service, spent about 45 minutes on the phone to help Hertz communicate with Hertz (no typo, the level of miscommunication is unbelievable). Meanwhile the same person who smilingly told me they had no cars went to the back and spent her time talking to a friend about Christmas gifts. Agreed on an approach with customer service to pick up a car from the Baton Rouge Airport, which they guarantee have a car available in the same category I rented, asked them to call a cab for me, but was told no Lyft drives took the ride. Hailed an Uber through the app and got the ride in 1 minute. Dismal overall experience.

I have presidents circle as I travel quite often my flight was delayed coming out of Atlanta; naturally I was worried about getting my rental as the landing time was after the posted hours, Alanna called and said she would wait for my flight to come in, lo and behold I arrived and she was waiting with my keys, smiling and in a great mood. Can’t thank her and this branch enough!

I prepaid for a rental for my wife on my CC. She showed up and since she didn't have the same CC, they wouldn't give her the car. I said fine, I'll cancel it and then she can just book it. They said that wouldn't matter because they overbooked and didn't have any cars. How can you prepay for a rental and then they don't have a car? I called Hertz customer service and they said they could rebook that the location had cars. The location said if I did this, they still wouldn't have a car. We ended up finding another car from another company. Customer service gave me a customer relations email to contact with a complaint. The customer service email only responds with a canned response stating we would receive our refund in 7-10 business days. If you respond to the email it bounces back as undeliverable. I forwarded the canned response back to the customer service number I was given and requested a non-canned response, and they didn't even read the email. I got the same, your refund will be delivered in 7-10 business days. Clearly, this location is not reliable when it comes to having inventory even for people who pre-paid. I'm done giving Hertz free short term loans and everyone else should be too. My advice, find a different company.

Absolutely the worst vehicle rental company.I returned an electric vehicle here and have received bogus charges on my card.Called their call center and after 3 days of calling finally got to speak with a supervisor who explains to me that the fees cannot be reversed (one of the fees is a fuel charge for an electric vehicle).Completely ridiculous and I'm not sure how they are still in business.

My husband rents from this location often. I came with him for most recent visit. The staff was great. My husband has always been very happy with service and rentals from this location!

Being a loyal gold member, you'd expect to be able to rent vehicles with the points that your loyalty has accrued. I showed up as a walk up customer with the intention of renting a vehicle.......which they had. Instead of using my points that my membership affords, this location tried to charge me 1500.00 for 3 days rental. I'm sorry, but this is price gouging

Ok I preference this with how ridiculous this branch is. My business gets rentals and they go with what's available. I'm not a hertz person this branch has to be the most ridiculous branch there is. Have had issues with rentals it seems everytime. I rented a vehicle on points as I'm a gold rewards member. Headed to Mississippi found out before I left that I have covid. So decided to just return the vehicle and save on points so I'm not charged for the vehicle just sitting in my driveway. Put it in the return tried to call of course the line is always busy they have issues with that not sure why. Advsd one of the avis guys that I have covid I'm returning vehicle etc. They called me said get well I should had made sure she understood it was a points rental idk. Look at the receipt it shows they charged it as a regular rental even though it says on the original one the total is only 12 bucks and using points. So I guessed what they did was change it and didn't know what they where doing so just charged me and expect me to call customer service and have them rectify the issue. This branch is annoying and aggravating I go to the one in baton rouge I have no issues at all. I also seen where they fudged the numbers on miles driven on the vehicle the car sat in the driveway I returned it with maybe 3 miles they have it where it was returned with over 115 extra miles I guess someone is going to go joy riding in it to make up the extra miles.My have to try a local branch instead cause the airport one needs help. I advsd for everyone not to go here.Ps.. I just found out I was charged for the points and charged for the rental what a joke of a place.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. First off I made a reservation online and was given an amount that was due. I went to go pick up the car and they proceed to tell me it's up to a $500 deposit plus my rental fees and because I don't have a major credit card they have to do a credit check. NOWHERE on the website does it state anything about a credit check. Well my credit check was rejected and they refused to rent the car to me. I had to have someone else rent it for me and add me as an authorized driver. Then because they couldn't give me the car I reserved I had to settle for a much larger car that cost double what I had reserved! I only needed it for 1 day to ride to the airport in New Orleans. I returned the car at 3:45pm the same day at the airport, was told to leave the keys in the vehicle and they would send a receipt. Fast forward to Tuesday and my mother calls me and says they charged her $520 because the car hadn't been returned which is not true and I have video with a time stamp and pinned location of where I returned it. Apparently the receiving desk never closed out the contract so it was still charging her card. I get told I will receive an email once completed. It's now Thursday and still no email and they charged her card ANOTHER $200. Called customer service again and was told the contract was still open after the car was returned ON TIME/SAME DAY! Close the damn contract and give my mother back the money you charged her! Never again will I rent from this place it's an absolute joke!

In the past 2 years this is the only place that has had cars available. I rent about 8 to 10 times a year. Make sure you check your bill!!! My car emailed the desk and said I had a third of a tank. Even though I filled it up less than a mile away.

This review has nothing to do with the location in the airport but the corporate (call center) I've been dealing with since my reservation pick up date.1st, let me say that the lady I dealt with at the Hertz desk was a absolute sweetheart and I'd give her 5 ?I had booked and prepaid for my rental in advance. Arrived in Lafayette, was informed that they needed to run my credit and needed a $500 deposit. I'm thinking why wasn't all this done when I booked and paid for this a month before hand. But I was exhausted after having been up since 2am traveling. So I said go ahead. For some reason it was declined, so she told me what number I needed to call to get my money refunded. I call within 4 hrs of getting there (getting another rental and long drive to my hotel) they inform me that it's been processed to be returned and would take 7-10 business days. Annoyed and frustrated I say ok cause I'm not letting it screw up my vacation. I wait like instructed, only to see its not come in. I called back. Only to be informed it wasn't processed and it's gonna take another 7-10 business days. I'm livid at this point. I asked for a supervisor. They couldn't tell me why I was declined for the rental even though I have good credit. But as for my refund, all they can tell me is they'll look into why it wasn't processed right the 1st time. But they can't get my money refunded any faster then the 7-10.NEVER booking or referring anyone to go thru Hertz.
