“Driving through town and wanted to try the ham as I heard it's pretty good. I decided on getting a Muffuletta as it has the ham as well as it being a Louisiana thang. It was my first ever. I was going to try the Pesto Cubano as well but unfortunately they didn't have the pork shoulder for it. I found service to be friendly. The sandwich was big. Enough for a meal and a snack later. The olive salad that comes on it was ok. I did scrape some off as it wasn't quite my thing. The meat was yummy. I'd definitely stop again when in the area. They also have in the freezer section whole hams, ham bones, turkeys, Filet Mignon, Ribeye, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole. cornbread dressing”
“Best sandwich in Lafayette- the Tavern Club (omit the turkey & ask for extra ham; sub the sweet hickory mustard for the tart honey mustard they usually put on the sandwich. Absolutely terrific. Also, a great place to pick up a hambone to make soup!”
