Columns is a cool bar and restaurant in a fabulous, beautiful hotel with true old New Orleans charm. The building is beautiful and the atmosphere is immaculate, with beautiful vibes and a really fun location. It is right on St. Charles, convenient to get to via streetcar, in a beautiful area of town outside the main tourist zone. The staff is awesome, with professional, helpful, friendly, talkative, and knowledgeable bartenders. The seating is great, especially on the front porch, which provides a pleasant dining atmosphere. The food is tasty, with particularly good French fries, and the cafe has good baked goods, though portions can be small. As a hotel, it is a cooler hotel or inn where every room is different and has its own unique features and charm. The private patio for hotel guests is a unique feature. It is a highly recommended place for a quick bite, cocktails, happy hour, or a special event, and many guests plan to return or stay there on a future trip.
