If you're considering Southern Oaks as your venue, do yourself a favor and BOOK IT NOW - you won't regret it. My husband and I got married there on October 16, 2016 and it was truly amazing. Both the staff and Bobby (the owner) are absolutely wonderful. Bobby even threw in a few surprises for us which made our night even more special and fun. Our guests can't stop talking about how wonderful the service and food was; Southern Oaks really has it down to a perfect science. It also doesn't hurt that the venue is gorgeous and beautifully kept! We cannot recommend this place enough. “We loved our wedding at Paradigm Gardens! The garden was beautiful, and we got lots of compliments on the food and even the signature mocktail we chose. We worked with Karen Wang as our wedding coordinator, and she was super helpful with the planning and with making sure everything ran smoothly and stress-free on the day of the wedding. She also helped us find our band and photographer and they did an amazing job. We had a great time, so many good memories. Would highly recommend.”

They helped coordinate so many moving pieces and vendors — including our florals, tarot card reader, photo booth, dinner, DJ, sparklers and even our alligator disco ball! They made everything come together seamlessly and took so much stress out of the lead-up to the wedding.

The party itself was incredible. Swoop Duggins is such a beautiful and unique New Orleans venue, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved the space, the food, and the specialty cocktails.

I cannot recommend this venue enough! Sean was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Since we live out of town and were traveling back to New Orleans for our 10-year vow renewal celebration, we were worried about having enough time to get everything set up before our reception. Sean completely put our minds at ease.

He went above and beyond to help us every step of the way and did everything he could to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to jump in wherever needed made such a huge difference on our special day.

“Came to the hall for a retirement party. The party area was very nice and clean. The atmosphere was nice for any additional decor you would want to add. Dinner was catered and very tasty. I especially liked the lasagna, mashed potatoes, and shrimp alfredo. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was very friendly. It was definitely a great space for hosting events.”

“Very nice well kept historical house. Great tour with CJ I believe her name was. Very knowledgeable and easy to listen to and hear. Tours are on the hour. Nice mix of period furniture. Gardens are well kept as well.”

“This parrt of the park is really nice with a panteon type building having stone lion protecting it. Some of the trees are wonderful with the moss drape making them look excellent, Near to here is a cafe where you can get really nice pastries (Beignets 3 off served at a time). Watch out though theyhave a lot of icing sugar.”

“My fiancé and I got married at the Chicory on Saturday 2.28, and I cannot say enough good things about Jenna and her team.

I was an out of town bride (who isn't much of a planner by nature), and from the very beginning, Jenna and the entire Chicory team made the whole wedding process smooth, simple and FUN.

When you book with the Chicory, so much is already included in the gorgeous venue that it streamlined a TON of little decisions. The location is absolutely perfect - you're right in the middle of all of the action of the city without the craziness of the Quarter. Not to mention the gazebo alleyway made for a PERFECT Second Line.

I also can't say enough good things about the FOOD. When my now husband and I came to the open house back in June (which I HIGHLY recommend all couples attend), we were once again affirmed with our choice to host our wedding here. The food truly was incredible, and we've had multiple guests tell us it's the best food they've ever had at a wedding (I agree).

Finally, the day of attendants made sure we had absolutely everything we needed to have an absolutely perfect wedding day.

The Chicory was ironically the last venue on our list to visit, but boy am I glad we made the last stop and chose the Chicory. Jenna and her entire team are absolute pro's, and they made our wedding dreams even better than we ever could have imagined.

Many brides say they're relieved when the wedding is over because the stress can just become so great. I, however, am a bit sad because Jenna and her team just made the entire planning seamless - I'd do it again in a heartbeat to come back to the Chicory.

Your venue and food (and the team that goes along with them) are two of the biggest choices in planning a wedding, and while I know there are dozens of wonderful venues throughout New Orleans, I couldn't imagine picking anywhere else, and I would suggest it to everyone.

“What an authentic NOLA jazz experience. No photos or video allowed during the show which allows for a present and intentional experience. A didn’t plan ahead and snagged standing tickets a few days before my show. Standing wasn’t bad at all. The show only lasts about 45 mins. If you’d prefer a bench seat I recommend booking well in advance.”

“This was the most fun, and one of the most must do experiences in Nola! Celebrated college graduation with a bunch of families and Sharon helped organize everything months in advance for us - listen to everything she says so you have the most beads and best time!!”

The only improvement I'd suggest is BETTER LIGHTING OUTSIDE the Baronne Street entrance. It was very dark and looked closed at the 7pm event start time and was just as dark to exit when the event ended about 11pm. This could pose a fall or personal safety risk to guests.”

“My daughter attended a 16th birthday party here. It was not the biggest space but perfect for this event. It is in the back of a neighborhood and may be a little tricky to find, but overall, it is a great spot for smaller events!”

“For $13 and 1.5 hours play time you cannot beat this place. Not to mention that they had one of the best homemade Thai Iced teas I've ever had for under $5! The owner was very friendly, the place is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend anyone with a toddler come here and we will again too. It is much easier to register online and pay online then to show up you'll have to do that anyways!”

“This place is an absolute gem in New Orleans! I was able to coordinate corporate dinner with the Calcasieu team all the way in Hawaii. I worked with Jacques and he was extremely helpful. Planning out the pre-fixe menu was easy with Jacques’ guidance and help. The pricing was very reasonable. When we arrived on the day of our event, there was a cute tripod sign out on the sidewalk leading up to the event’s site that outlined our team’s business meeting dinner. The location is nestled in between Cochon and Cochon Butcher’s Block. The ambiance of the place is very chic and trendy, but industrial, with the metal and kiln-fired brick look. The lighting is dim, but not too dark. The staff are EXCELLENT!! The day of our event I worked with Aaron and his bartending/server team, Monroe and Nick, and our Chef was Chef Anthony. Everything was PERFECT. From the pre-made cocktails to match our event’s theme, to the delicious pass apps (hors d’oeuvres) that were served to our guests. We had the smoked salmon dip on a kettle chip appetizer that was really tasty! And the veggie skewers that also didn’t disappoint. The pre-fixe dinner menu was a hit among our 26 guests! The salad was really yummy… the light refreshing taste of the dressing was delightful. I had the roasted chicken with sweet potatoes garlic confit and chicken jus that was insanely divine!! I wanted more!!! Others in our party enjoyed the braised beef short rib with mashed potatoes and onion jam. Everything was so well seasoned and delicious! Then the dessert was the chocolate chip bread pudding with a crème anglaise sauce and a pineapple upside down cake. Nothing fell short of what was expected… matter of fact, everything exceeded our expectations to the max! Thank you to Aaron, Chef Anthony, Monroe and Nick for the exceptional customer service! I will definitely visit again when we’re back in NOLA. Thank you all for your exquisite hospitality and amazingly delicious food. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat because it’s THAT GOOD!!!”
