“The Idea Factory is a gem and a special place amongst the tourist scape of New Orleans. Punny shirts and shot glasses made in China are a dime a dozen. From the art and the artists that are showcased within to the gentlemen that keep these doors open, I cannot think of another space around the City of New Orleans that has made such an impression on my curiosity. Dave and Bill have become wonderful sources of conversation for me, who travels for work for long periods of time. I would go as so far to call them friends. If you are in search for that unique piece to bring home, look no further than the Idea Factory. Most items are made of wood and are unique, almost one of a kind! You can find kinetic sculptures, clocks, puzzles and toys. Dave, who owns the Idea Factory also keeps a fair number of antique books and photography for sale that fit into the decor of the Idea Factory that gives this incredible space an old Americana feel.”

“Had the pleasure of meeting DC (shop owner) probably 15 years ago. So humble, hardworking (pretty sure he wears all the hats!), and willing to share his knowledge. Called him recently to thank him for his recommendation many-year-ago for Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing after I read The Killing Joke and Watchmen (if memory serves). I’ve never been more hooked on comics! Also, from time to time I see some unfortunate reviews—possibly from folks that don’t really understand how comic stores are run/the pressure of being an owner. In my experience, the best shops are run by people like DC, who have a vast knowledge of comics, but are also very self-sufficient (do everything to run the store themselves). So just realize, this owner is amazing—don’t be afraid to ask questions! If he’s locked into the computer for a moment, he’s just wearing one of his many hats! It doesn’t mean he doesn’t notice you. I think he also understands that some clients like to search without someone looking over their shoulder. I also think, the more comic shops you explore, the more you’ll realize just how special More Fun Comics is. Now I’ll get off my soap box ☺.”

“My daughter and I had our first ever visit to New Orleans for the Eras Tour! While we were there we got to do some shopping and popped into Pippen Lane! My daughter is 8 and loves all things that sparkle and loves her accessories even more. Pippen Lane had EVERYTHING you could imagine for all sorts of fun occasions; including the Eras Tour! The staff was so friendly and seemed just as excited for us for the Eras Tour as we were! They made our experience feel extra special. As we were checking out I had mentioned that we don't have anything like their shop out by us and they let us know that they have Instagram and the ship!! So excited to be a returning *virtual* customer until we make our way back out to New Orleans!”

“Baby One was a huge surprise children's clothing shop in the midst of stores geared towards souvenirs and foods of New Orleans. The selection of baby, toddler, and older kid clothing was amazing. Outfits ranged from the festive Mardi Gras colored t-shirts to the more sophisticated outfits from Bonne Jean. The pricing was very competitive with online stores and it felt good to support a local business with our purchases. The owner was friendly and the store was very inviting. We loved it!”

“I came in the store earlier this week with a lot of stuff to trade in I came in last minute and I can't remember the guy name but he worked 01/06 Tuesday night and that following Wednesday was VERY HELPFUL. I don't even usually leave reviews but he was awesome and helped me secure a switch 2 for my son birthday. Just wanted to send this and hope he gets recognition.
