“Rooms are fairly spacious. Rooms were not dirty, but could have been a bit cleaner. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast options were limited, but available items were decent. Good basic hotel to rest and recharge.”

“It was a five star experience from the time you walk through the doors. Time stops, you are brought back to a slower relaxing pace. Everyone is so nice, and take such care of you. If you’ve not gone. Take a few days off, and go explore and relax. Sit on the veranda, and enjoy a drink, meet new people and just enjoy.”
“Absolutely incredible experience at Butler Greenwood Plantation. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the authenticity of the place. The grounds are stunning, the ambiance is beautiful and peaceful, and the history is everywhere you look. It’s one of those places where you can truly feel the significance of the past.
But what really makes the experience special is Anne. She is hands-down one of the most inspiring and knowledgeable hosts you will ever meet on this side of the Mississippi. Her passion for the history of the area is contagious. With more than 34 books to her name, she is truly the premier historian of the region, and hearing her share the stories behind the plantation makes the entire visit come alive.
Anne doesn’t just give a tour, she shares the history in a way that makes you feel connected to it. You walk away not just impressed by the beauty of the property, but with a deeper understanding of the stories that shaped this place.
If you appreciate authentic history, beautiful grounds, and learning from someone who truly loves what they do, Butler Greenwood Plantation is an absolute must visit. We can’t recommend it highly enough.”
“Cute, quaint, & close to the shops downtown.
One star down because the entry door did not look like it would deter anyone who really wanted in (see that the bolt isn’t inserted very far and the doorframe is patched at that spot). Door also had a big 1/2 inch air gap at the bottom which brought a cold draft in as it dropped down to 35 degrees that night, and the blinds at door leave a visual gap that allowed the bed to be seen from the outside step… all easy fixes which would enhance safety and insure privacy.
I look forward to staying at 3V again, but not in that unit.”
“Building well kept on the outside, it looks brand new, lobby is nice as well. However, 2nd floor, my room looked out dated but is was clean and the bed was comfortable. My other 2 coworkers stayed there as well in separate rooms. One complained about the air conditioning unit being noisy and tv not working properly. Thank goodness I didn't have these issues.”

“The place is great. Management is awesome. Location is close to anything you need. Close to restaurants and bars and Walmart. Room rate is cheap. They facilitated a spot for boat. Checks all the boxes for me.”
