“The rooms are clean and the service is very friendly. However, it is right next to the railroad tracks. If you don't mind the train horns, it is a good spot.”

“"I recently stayed at this motel during a road trip and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. They were also able to provide me with some great local recommendations for restaurants and activities. The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh and clean. I was pleasantly surprised by the range of amenities that were available, including a fridge, microwave, and flat-screen TV.The motel was also conveniently located, with easy access to the main highway and a variety of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. Despite being close to everything, I found the motel to be surprisingly quiet and peaceful, which made for a restful night's sleep.Overall, I would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and well-equipped, and the location was ideal. Thank you for a great stay!"”

“Great venue for company functions. Some of the furnishing are out dated, and the restaurant dining isn't lavish, but the event catering is unbelievably good--even for buffet-style. The rooms are great except for the remodeling work on the 2nd floor (7am til 7pm, apparently). Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance...all in all, can't find better for the price”

“We ate in the restaurant the first my server fixed the BEST Blood Mary Kiana Morrison. Her personality was everything I felt like I've known her for years. Make sure when book your room she's working. You'll love her as much as we did????Rooms: Room was very clean.Nearby activities: We went to juicy seafood bar and grill it was great”

“We came for Mardi Gras Swim meet and our heat wasn't working ( it was 30-40 degrees out) the first night. Mr Darryl - chief engineer came and worked on it, he was frank that the fix would take time and he expedited a room move for us two times as the first move would have moved us away from our team mates. He was kind and we appreciated the direct communication that the situation wasn't a quick fix, followed by a solution until we were in a warm room, close to our team.”

“Stayed here one night on our way to Florida with my husband and 5 yo daughter. We had reserved the king suite but were contacted day before that AC was not working. So we had to do the two queens instead. They let us check in early. Property and grounds were beautiful. They didn't have tours at this time. However we were able to meander through freely and were surprised that things were not roped off. It was mostly in good condition. Outdoor area needed some attention. Rose garden bushes were overgrown and looked like roses needed fertilizer as not growing well. Pool area was locked and looked small and sleepy. Loved the 100 plus year old oak trees. Many good photo opportunities and not crowded at all. There is a small one room museum which was interesting and had a lot of reading materials and a few relics. Adjacent theater movie played sound but no picture. Room itself was modern but maintained the look and elegance of the mansion. Beds were very comfy. AC kept the room cool. We had a small fridge but disappointed no microwave or tea. Just a coffee maker. Also no shampoo or conditioner. Just hand soap. We didn't ask for it though. Room was a little dirty. Found clumps of hair on the floor and a few small bugs. It was quiet outside except for loud DJ playing for wedding until around 11 pm. Sugar cane field right behind us. Could hear birds in the morning. Parking so convenient right outside and free. It seemed safe and classy crowd there. Went to restaurant for dinner. Limited menu options and no kids menu. Prices were reasonable. I had strawberry salad which was excellent. Husband had etoufee which was good. Daughter had red beans and rice and surprisingly ate some which is good for her as she's a picky eater. Sticky shrimp appetizer was more like general Tao shrimp with sweet and sour sauce. Didn't care for it. Pecan pie was best I ever had. All and all this is a real gem of a place. Surprised it's still standing after civil war and restored after several centuries. So felt like a real privilege to stay here.”

“This place is super cool. Me and my brother stopped in to the casino since coming home for Christmas and both walked out 300+ richer. Definitely going to be coming back here again when I'm in town.”

“This was my first experience staying at a Sonesta and it was absolutely wonderful! I was in town visiting LSU as a potential graduate student and the location was perfect. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and the staff was phenomenal! A special thanks to Peter who was so very kind and went the extra mile by recommending places to eat and even calling them to see if they had what I was looking for. My stay here was truly wonderful. Thank you.”

“Worst place I've ever stayed. Key would have to be reprogrammed everyday, Elevator was junk, but when it breaks down they blame use not the old elevator, when asked who your talking to they remove their name tags and threaten you. Housekeeping screams at each other from one end of the hall to the other. Other than that, few of the desk people were really nice.”

“Located central to shopping, dining, and hospitals, this place is very clean and nice. The front desk attendant was able to give me a room directly by the exit, which provided easy access in and out of the hotel.I thought I left my phone in the room after checkout, and the lady answering phones went above and beyond to find my phone. This was a joyful experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baton Rouge.”

“When booking my stay, I was very concerned with the reviews others had left. Let me say that everything was great. If you are expecting a room at the Ritz Carton for a motel 6 price, then keep looking. I can say the room was clean, they are large, and the bed was so comfortable. The only negative would be that I wish the bathroom was a little larger, but not a deal breaker. The evening reception was great and the breakfast is amazing. I stayed on a Saturday and the hotel was full of baseball and softball teams. The staff worked hard to ensure everything went well for everyone. Dont let the reviews scare you, this place is nice.”

“Rooms, beds and bathrooms are very clean. The free breakfast has variety and is fresh. All this is second to the fact that the staff is always smiling and friendly.”

“Kenric (the front desk guy) is seriously one of the nicest men I have ever met. I had traveled several hours and arrived early. He was so kind to get me. I arrived a few hours early and he could tell I was totally exhausted. He allowed me to check in early so I can take a nap before my important event that evening. Then the next day he went out of his way to help me print an important document. You don't find stuff like that anymore. The beds are why I love to stay at Comfort Inn. The only reason I gave it a four-star is because the hotel is getting a bit outdated. But under no circumstances, is that an issue on the staff side.”

“Booked a last minute room for a quick trip. When we arrived, the concierge, Rose, was wonderful and welcoming.Hallway smelled clean upon arrival and the room was clean as well. Great setup for the room; small kitchen, small living room area, large bathroom with double sinks, standing shower & jacuzzi tub.Great overall accommodations with excellent reception and service.”

“The registration technician was a great delight. She allowed the process to be very welcoming. Every time I visit Baton Rouge I reside there. Though it's a little costly for what you get, it's convenient. The rooms are comfortable and near many outlets. However, there's no ventilation in the restroom. And, be sure to check your towels prior to usage. Otherwise, a peaceful stay.”

“Excellent crew, easily check in, fantastically easy to book, and clean! Even in the lobby, it smelled so clean! The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. My only two complaints were about the bathroom door and the bathroom vent. The door didn't close completely, but it wasn't a huge issue. However, the bathroom vent, which had no option to turn off as it was tied to the light switch, was amazingly loud and rambunctious. The vent gave me flashbacks. Every time we would turn on the bathroom light, it was like listening to a concert of epileptic monkeys bang coconuts on tiger enclosure at an understaffed zoo. Gotta get that fixed.”
