Pet Stores & Supplies
Aqua Hut
17424 Airline Hwy #7, PrairievilleI live a stones throw from another salt-water specific store here in Baton Rouge and will ALWAYS make the longer trip to Aqua Hut for any Reef Tank needs. The employees here are kind, knowledgeable, and have the patience of saints. As someone who is new to the reef tank-owning world, I obviously come with many questions and concerns. I've never once felt like I was being rushed and CERTAINLY not being sold anything I wasn't ready for or needed. I've been told to keep checking water over the course of many visits before they have given me the thumbs-up to start adding to my tank. The person I purchased my little tank from used to drive nearly 2 hours to their store in particular because of the cleanliness of the shop and the knowledgeable staff. I'm really quite grateful for them.

Cypress Lake Animal and Emergency Hospital
38316 LA-929, PrairievilleI had to make an impossible choice to put my 13 year old pit bull Sadie Belle down she had an aggressive cancer and they treated her for 3 days before that decision was made me and my husband work a lot and the staff here was so accommodating to us when visiting our dog even up to the day it was done I had never had to do that before and I didn’t know what to expect on the day off they provided us with a private room and a. Nice pallet of blankets on the ground me and my daughter spent an hour with her laying on the ground with her and when it was time the Dr and staff were so kind and gentle and we stayed laying next to her my daughter was laying her head on her, the Iv port was already in her and the Dr gave her a sedative and she was snoring loud when they gave her the rest she was completely at peace and they let us stay there a little while after to say our final goodbyes and a few last kisses it was one of the worst things I have ever went through but the staff at cypress lake animal hospital made it a lot easier and they took good care of my Sadie up until the very end she was the best dog ever and she will be forever missed
