14609 Airline Hwy Suite 104, GonzalesI visited the Petco in Gonzales on Friday, August 28, 2026, and I continue to be impressed with this store. One of the things that really stands out is how well-stocked and ready for business the store consistently is. The shelves were full, merchandise was organized, and everything I needed for my dog was available. It’s refreshing to walk into a store that clearly takes pride in keeping products in stock and making shopping easy for its customers.
Beyond the great in-stock conditions, the entire store was neat, clean, organized, and inviting. As I walked through the store shopping for dog food, multiple employees acknowledged me and asked if I needed any help. You could tell the team was engaged with customers rather than simply completing tasks.
The checkout experience was just as impressive. There was almost no wait, the interaction was friendly, and even the grooming employee waved to me as I was leaving. I also noticed that customers entering the store were consistently being greeted.
This is what a great retail experience should look like: full shelves, a clean and organized store, friendly employees, quick checkout, and a team that makes customers feel welcome. The Gonzales Petco team is doing an outstanding job. Keep up the great work!

Gonzales Animal Clinic
515 South Burnside Avenue, GonzalesI was at this clinic yesterday for the first time with my dog Wanda. I can’t enough great things about this clinic. First, the doctor said that my dog has cataracts and then showed me while using her light. The staff along with the vet clipped her nails and ran a urine test. They didn’t try to up sell me on anything and I really appreciated it. My entire visit was $200.00
The big difference with this practice vs the large practices is this clinic is privately owned and not own by a corporation. This is how the costs are low.
I used to go to a large practice and they wanted $4,000 to just to drain and examine a bump under her tummy.
If you want great service and low costs this is the vet to go see.

2460 W Outfitters Dr, GonzalesThe food is so GOOD here. The chicken was crispy, the sauce was heaping, the pasta was great, and the breadsticks tasted fresh out the oven. The restaurant was quiet and peaceful. Manager Amanda is doing a great job running this place while also talking to every table and making sure they’re having a great experience. Server Savannah was efficient and thoughtful. I will be back for sure!
