USPS has been a fustercluck since Dejoy took over. The folks who work there are doing the best they can with what they have available.”

I'm pleasantly surprised and appreciative.I mailed out two packages without any issues. There wasn't much of a wait, just a few minutes waiting on about three people in line. Check Google Maps for hints on peak or slow business hours. Sure was helpful to have that shelf available for heavy packages while I waited my turn. Postal employees were prompt, friendly, and professional. Receipts show your tracking number to verify your packages arrive on time.”

My husband and I are preparing to hit the road again, and this time, we needed to renew our passports. Over the past few weeks, we heard all kinds of things. Some said you could walk into a Baton Rouge location and walk out with your passport the same day. Even ChatGPT pointed us toward a walk-in service. Let me tell you now, that’s not the case.
After making several calls with no clear answers, I decided to get in the car and visit a location in person. Here’s what we learned:
✅ You can get everything done in one place: pick up the application, take your photo, and have the full packet mailed to the passport processing office.
? But no matter where you go, your renewal still has to be mailed in. You will not walk out with your passport that day.
We had the pleasure of being helped by Ms. Jackie, who was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. I had all our documents ready, but she let us know we needed new passport photos. No smiling is allowed in passport photos, by the way! She made the process smooth and sent us off with a tracking number so we could follow our application’s progress.
We left feeling like happy campers. Thanks to Ms. Jackie, what could’ve been a stressful process turned into a surprisingly pleasant one. Excellent customer service makes all the difference, and she definitely delivered.”

“I called the Prairieville post office to request to have my recently deceased son’s mail forwarded to me. I told Ms. Boudreaux what documentation I had available. I came in the next day and successfully had his mail from two prior addresses forwarded to me. Ms. Boudreaux and who I believe was the postmaster were courteous, kind and proficient. I had heard that a real ordeal was to be expected. It was actually a pleasant and easy experience.”
