“Laurie and Russell (I believe that is their names) are very helpful every time I go in there. I had my 7 year old daughter with me and she was throwing a fit for a stuff animal and I guess Mr Jamie heard me tell her we did not have the extra money for that and he bought the stuffed animal with his money and gave it to her! It meant the world to her and me! I have come in there a few times and was greeted by snoody cashiers that were sitting down playing on their phones and seemed upset we walked in. But overall my family loves to shop here!”
“Someone called Bubbles Popping posted on the wrong Dollar General. There are two of them and Lockport the newer one does not have potholes and is very clean and well stocked.

“Very wide selection of fishing products. If you're an avid fisherman, you can probably find what you need at this location in the Sportsman's Paradise of Louisiana. Great selection of life preservers. The food selection is extensive.”
“I have always had a good experience at this location. The employees have always been friendly and I have even used the electronics counter to check out when an employee was about to go and check on their respective area. She helped me check out instead without a single reservation or hesitation and was even able to get the cost of an item when there wasn't a price tag on the item with the help of another employee! Tip for using the self-checkout - don't go around lunchtime, late morning on the weekends or right after work. The line is very long and you are better off just being patient at the regular cashier lines. If there is an item you want that you've seen at another Wal-mart and you don't want to purchase it on-line, you can go to Customer Service and make a request. They may be able to get that item at your local store if it is something that has a steady supply at another store. I go to this store every week, sometimes 2 - 3 times a week, so I am always scanning the store to see how it is doing based on my feedback. So far, so great!”
