“Since moving into the area, this has quickly become one of my favorite places to stop for a beer.
The beer selection is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Everything I’ve tried has been well-crafted and enjoyable. Beyond the beer, the atmosphere is what really stands out. The bartenders are friendly, welcoming, and make you feel like a regular even if it’s only your second or third visit.
The crowd is always great, the conversations are enjoyable, and it’s the kind of place where it’s easy to relax and spend a few hours. We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit and will definitely be back many more times.

“I’ve had nothing but a great experience here! The staff is so nice and friendly! It’s so affordable and I would recommend! Turkey, my dog, was found on the street with a broken leg and they took her in and amputated her leg. The staff remember her every time she comes in and it’s so welcoming! Turkey may have a different review, but I personally love it here!”
“I went to a training held in one of their rooms. It was gorgeous, rich in history and intentionality behind each piece, not only in the exhibits but also the space itself, reflecting the importance of recognizing the African American and African diaspora experiences.
Additionally, it is very well equipped for meetings, and the staff is attentive and thoughtful.”

“We took the cooking class with Chef Dee and it was AMAZING! Even as a seasoned home cook, I learned some tips and tricks that I’m using each day now that I’m back home. This was a wonderful experience, and I recommend it to anyone - team building, first date, family outing - the Chef and her Sous Chef are encouraging, helpful, and inclusive. Everyone present had a job to do and there was a lot of laughter and fun. We sat down to eat our meal and it was the best food I’ve ever had.
Best part, we got the recipes to bring home! We’ve made our dishes for Thanksgiving and plan to cook them again for Christmas. Friends and family are amazed at our culinary skills and we fight over the leftovers!
A great way to spend the afternoon, and the experience is well-documented with photos so we were able to just experience the fun and learning. 100% will come again! Money well-spent and an afternoon we will always remember.

“A friend requested that I meet her and her 15month baby girl at the We Play Center for a play date with my 15 month daughter. The Center was a perfect play date experience for my daughter as well as for me. She played with other children around her age in an inviting setting with plenty of toys to interact with her. She choose to explore with the other children which gave my friend and I time have conversation amongst ourselves and other caregivers. All free of charge. I will be visiting we play Center again.”

“Had a semi loaded for delivery here. Not a terribly difficult place to back into but can be a little tricky just getting there if you follow GPS. They emailed directions and it was easy as pie! Leaving them here for anyone else who needs them!”
“The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. The service was also very great. The food was good, but a bit pricey for a smaller portion. The music was done just after 8, which was a little disappointing.”

“A beautiful city park supporting a lovely family neighborhood, alive with activity. I met a local security guard and friendly conversation with the people that she served. I even got a few sprigs of herbs from the community garden
I hope the city fills up their swimming pool soon, the hard-working people in this neighborhood deserve that place of relaxation, especially for all the children.”
“I loved being at Waldo Burton. I was there from 1978 until I graduated in 1988. Mr Stroup, Me. Jorge, Mr. Fred, Mr A. Grimes, Mrs. Waymon were my counselors. At a young age they installed integrity, Loyalty, tolerance among other values that remain with me to this day. I was given a foundation to be independent and compassionate towards others. I joined the Marines after graduation from Waldo Burton and remain friends with the counselors and still visit from time to time till this very day.”

I have complete trust in the staff and as a board member, I can attest to the quality of the thoughtful leadership that creates a supportive and accountable community. My children are happy well adjusted kids and I attribute that to the care they have received while at Abeona. The teachers are thoughtful careful caring folks who have continued to provide an amazing environment despite the pandemic and the many challenges they have faced.
