    “Today I went to your store primarily to take advantage of your Tuesday pizza special. While I waited for my pizzas to bake, I bought escargot, lump crab cakes, ancient grain bread and several pastries. I requested the attendant in the bakery to slice my breads. I am writing to tell you how pleasant each of the people I engaged with during my shopping. The gentleman who sliced my bread was cheerful and professional, as was the attendant in the seafood department. The standout was the young lady who took my pizza order and handed my pizzas once they were ready. She was everything a customer would like an employee to be. She went out of her way to please me, all the while making me feel as though I was special and she definitely wanted me to be happy with my pizzas. Simply terrific, and it doesn’t hurt that not only is a great attribute to your store, but she’s quite attractive with an amazing smile. All in all, my experience today is enough to insure I will continue to be a happy customer at your store. Outstanding service!”

    “This review is for Kim in the bakery department. I hope her boss sees this and the owner of this location as she was my saving grace today! I stopped in the store last minute this morning to grab a cookie cake for a birthday party. I did not see any out on the floor so I asked the sweet lady behind the bakery counter if they had any out. She said no, but she could make one for me real quick. Not only did she make one for me, she customized it to what I wanted. She asked what color icing, what color sprinkles, etc all with a smile on her face. She could’ve just told me no they don’t have any cookie cakes and went on with her day. Instead she took the time to help me and get me what I needed. She did not ask but for her kindness I told her I would leave a review for her to acknowledge her willingness to help me. Thank you Kim! You saved the day!”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
