“Beautiful hotel. Multistory with elevators. Recently renovated. Great staff. Breakfast included. Rooms are very clean and quiet. The rooms are beautifully organized and decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Walking distance from many shops and restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor. This hotel is only a few miles driving distance from Acadia National Park. You can actually hike to several Acadia trails directly from your hotel room. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend Bar Harbor Grand Motel.”

“Even though they were closing down for the season while we stayed, my stay couldn't have been more perfect. Very quaint, small town feel with all the amenities of a chain hotel. Cookies (always my favorite touch) at check-in and a small continental breakfast. Penny at the front desk was such a lovely, kind, and helpful host.Rooms: The bed was very comfortable. And I'm picky. The extra blanket in the room was very appreciated.Nearby activities: In location allows you to walk just about everywhere in town. HUGE walkability points and a 16-minute drive to the summit of Cadillac Mountain.”

“I wish we could have stayed longer! From the minute we checked in, I was immediately sad that we were only staying for 3 nights. The location is amazing and the town of Bar Harbor is so adorable! It’s a super close drive to Acadia. The hotel amenities are so nice: beautiful pools, tennis courts, etc. The rooms are nice and Nest NY bath products, so nice! The lobby is very cute with a wood burning fireplace. You can grab pizza to-go from the restaurant onsite. The cocktails by the pool were great. It was a very enjoyable stay!One unique thing about this hotel is that during low tide, you can walk across to Bar Island, which is a fun thing to do at sunset for a quick hike on the island.Rooms: Rooms are nice, Nest New York bath products. Walk-in showersNearby activities: Lots of restaurants, ice cream, cafes, and shops, (mostly tourist shops). Also very short drive to Acadia National Park.Walkability: This hotel is in an excellent location in downtown Bar Harbor. It’s very walkable to all of the bars, restaurants, shops, cafes, etc.Food & drinks: The food and drinks onsite are good. You can take a pizza to-go. The cocktails by the pool were very good. The restaurant was always packed for dinner.Noteworthy details: One unique thing about this hotel is that when you check in, they give you a schedule for high/low tide because during low tide, you can walk across to Bar Island.”

“Very nice and cozy room. Staffs are very nice and helpful. There are free grab and go all day long in the main lobby. Next to a convenient store, gas station, Walgreens right down the road. 5 minutes walk to shopping area and restaurant 10/10”
“The room didn't match the photos ( furniture, curtains, pictures) but all in all, a pleasant stay. Roomy room, comfortable beds, adequate kitchen utensils. I would rate the cleanliness a 3 out of 5. The bed linens were clean as were the towels but the fridge, carpet and the kitchen window were pretty gross.”
“My family and I ate at the restaurant and it was absolutely delightful! The food was delish, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I have nothing negative to say, it was wonderful! Highly ”

“My husband and I had the best time here. Such a beautiful place! We enjoyed many meals at The Fern and loved having drinks at Harry’s. We found the wait staff to be so kind and accommodating.The only issue we had during our stay was the shower. Our shower would only get slightly warm at best, which was not great considering the weather was in the 40s while we were there. Not a great experience for 5 days. We asked for assistance from the front desk staff on 4 separate occasions but nothing changed. I really hope they can get this sorted out in the off season as it’s truly a problem.Looking past this issue, this was the perfect place for us!”
