“Excellent stay here! Our first time in Boothbay and we arrived early. They not only allowed us to use the parking lot early, we were even able to check in early with no issues. Everyone we interacted with, from the front desk staff to the bartenders, were easy going, positive, and provided excellent service.
The view from Happy Hour at the tavern was incredible and our entire experience here was great. The accommodations are simple but the view of the water from the room, even though we had a limited view room, was a pleasant surprise. The location of this hotel cannot be beat and parking that accompanies it is spectacular. The most convenient stay in Boothbay HANDS DOWN. And if you plan on doing a harbor cruise with Cap’n Fish’s Cruises like we did, the meeting/pickup spot is right next to this hotel.”
“What a lovely inn! We had amazing harbor views from room 109. The rooms were clean, and had a fresh feel, absolutely no musty or smoky odors. The linens were crisp and clean with no signs of wear. They have a communal sitting area, and a little set up with ice machine, juices, coffees, and teas and occasionally some bananas that were accessible 24 hours per day. There was no breakfast at the inn, but many local restaurants within a short walk offered nice breakfasts. I did see they had a fitness room, but we never utilized it. The parking lot had plenty of parking spots available, they have you place a parking tag in your car. The room had a microwave, and small fridge. The footbridge next to the hotel property was convenient for the short walk into the main part of town. Parking in town was tight so to walk over was best. It was fun to watch the fishing boats come in and out of the harbor, our room had a few Adirondack chairs and small tables for enjoying the view right outside the sliding glass door of our room. I'm not sure how housekeeping works. We stayed four nights and they never came. We never asked about it, because we made due by hang drying our towels, and the trash can was generously sized so wasn't an issue. I'm sure if we had asked they would have brought fresh towels. We would definitely stay here again. The property had a peaceful tranquility to it and were very happy with our choice in staying there.”
“Overall, this is a nice place -- if you like hanging out with the families of toddlers. The amenities are decent, but as with so many of these old school resorts, their heyday is in the past, and some TLC would be helpful. It has a very nice feel but the number of children running around at 6:30am was notable.
The pools were nice, especially if you like interacting with other people's children.
The clay tennis courts were fun to play in, but be ready to do some maintenance yourself -- watering and weeding the courts was helpful keeping the dust and flora down.
The service was okay. The bartender could clearly read a recipe but likely didn't really know how a cocktail was meant to taste, and taste that wine to make sure that it's still good before the waiter walks off.
The room was nice. Big bathroom. Comfy beds, plenty of space, and a little patio with a view of the water. No complaints. And the view was great -- morning and evening were really magical with views across the sound.
The forests and trails were really, really nice. Very alive and truly wonderful for a walk morning or evening. Absolutely walk through the forest if you go.
A legit 4 out of 5. Probably closer to 5 stars for folks with kids.”
“finally decided to use my Harbour Towne Inn mug from our Maine trip back in the fall of 2025 ☕️ cannot say enough about Stephanie & her quaint inn located in Boothbay Harbor. Stephanie's place was everything & more, from the moment we walked up to the property, until we checked out! upon our arrival, a two-man band was playing afternoon melodies in the front lawn and i just knew we were in for a wonderful stay. Boothbay was our first stop on our 8-day coastal trip (a bucket list trip for me) and was hands' down our favorite stop along the way. we cannot wait to return to Maine someday soon & rest our heads at this sweet lil inn. if your husband or travel pal is iffy about staying at a bed & breakfast and dining with strangers, book it anyways. i promise you, they will eat. their. words! thank you, Stephanie, for creating such a beautiful space for Maine vacationers. Boothbay will ALWAYS hold a special place in our hearts.?”
