“Been visiting King Ro every summer for over 30 years, and this year is no exception. Much to my suprise, new owners have completely updated the neighborhood market into a full watering hole complete with a great selection of bar foods, craft beers and full bar. The locals are friendly and usually willing to engage in a conversation on their viewpoints covering most topics you might find of interest.
If you've never gone...go! If you've not been there in some time, go back! You will not be disappointed,”
“This is definitely one of the best natural food stores in the MidCoast. I occasionally stop by for a snack or a sandwich. Plus I just love the vibe of the place and the staff. It's also convenient that they have a couple of EV charging stations in the back.”
“Hit up The Dollar Tree and was quite impressed with this store. Clean, organized, and plenty of staff to keep up with stocking. Found some great deals, and will be returning.”
“The store is usually well stocked, the meat and produce are very good, and staff is always helpful. My only complaint is waiting in line for quite a while to check out. Even in the busy summer, there’s only 2 or 3 registers open. It can take you as long to check out as it does to shop.”
“every thing, Good affordable price. When on vacation I like to Shop at Dollar Generals to see what is different then what I can buy in my locale town. I shop at my local Dollar General 6 times aweek.”
“I am from out-of-state, The people I visit in Damariscotta shop here all the time. I stop in from time to time when I am in town and shop here as well. Great prices, great selection, friendly staff. I love the hometown feel, when I walk in. I miss the private owned grocery stores like I used to go to growing up in my hometown. It is a welcome pleasure to shop here every time I am in town. ?????”
“Very busy and does not have the complete range or variety of larger stores. The big plus very helpful staff and full liquor from beer to hard stuff. Also very skilled fish department.”
“OMG, this place is so so cute … Reminds me of a country store in AlabamaWe visited years ago but I remember I ate a Whoopie pie, lolI know one thing … We didn’t leave here hungryI swear if we are anywhere near this place in the future I will most definitely stop by again”
“A lot of people give this pharmacy crap, but during the height of COVID and since then, it’s really the only functioning pharmacy open 7 days a week. At the worst, when Walgreens had shutdown this pharmacy was absolutely overwhelmed by everyone shifting their scripts over. Of course wait times were horrendous for quite awhile. When Walgreens opened back up, some people shifted their scripts back, but a lot didn’t because Walgreens is still closed on weekends. Wait times are better now that the pressure has eased, but I doubt they’ll return to pre pandemic levels anytime soon unless another pharmacy opens 7 days a week. I commend the pharmacists and staff for doing their absolute best and helping all of us, including the irritable ones. I truly appreciate it, and now that they have a little more time and flexibility, they are more than willing to work with you if a snafu happens.”
“Great store with a large selection of local vegetables and fruits, meats, charcuterie, alcohol, ice cream, store baked bread, and desserts. They also make sandwiches for lunch.”
