“Such a refreshing pharmacy experience! My GI works through them regularly to get more expensive medications since they’re so good with insurance claims and authorizations. They even found a manufacturer coupon so I haven’t paid a single dime out of pocket for any of the 3 courses of my medication I’ve received from them! Despite being in Maine, I receive my medication in Chicago within 2 days. I’ve never had any issues with their customer service and it’s wonderful not having to wait on hold for 30+ minutes to speak to someone versus the retail pharmacies near me. Can’t recommend using their service enough!”

“I ordered a cake from the bakery for my mothers birthday, I was supposed to pick it up tomorrow but I called an it turned out she had done the cake today, an I was able to pick it up early. When I got there she must've just left, but someone in the deli was happy to grab it for us.
Now when I ordered the cake I just did it through the online, customized order, I put in we'd like flowers and a hummingbird.
Now it's Hannaford right? I didn't have high expectations whatsoever but let me tell you when I say I'm impressed with how this cake came out, that would be an understatement, it's beautiful and my mom, she absolutely loves it 10x more than I do

“Their pharmacists know their stuff (as you would expect), and are surprisingly accessible to talk about medicine, side effects, and other related concerns. Each member of the staff seems eminently knowledgeable about their products, not just where the products are on the shelves. They're a compounding pharmacy, making them a great resource for any medications that need to be mixed or otherwise custom made.”

“When one of my buddies wasn't feeling well while we were in Portland, I made a trip to this Walgreens to get Advil, water, candy and nuts...only the essentials, naturally. The store was clean, well-lit and well-stocked. Prices were reasonable and checkout was fairly quick. There's a parking lot here as well, which is nice because parking in downtown Portland is at a premium! If you have drugstore needs, this is your place.”

“My husband and I have both had not ideal experiences with pharmacies in the past but the staff here is always so respectful. Specifically Truman, he is the man. He puts the T in Trust. He has advocated for us when we have needed assistance with insurance issues without judgement only encouragement and extremely helpful information. We moved farther away from the pharmacy but still make the trip to this location because we know we will be given top notch service. 10/10 for Truman and the staff.”
“I highly recommend them I have epilepsy and when other pharmacies including wal mart Walgreens and cvs all couldn’t get my med from the manufacturer so they say Maine med pharmacy came through when I had no other choices and they say they have and can get more than enough”

“Really impressed with this Hannaford. As a Portland area person, of course my first thought of Hannaford is Forest Ave - but since my office moved over to Riverside, I've frequented this Hannaford quite a bit. Sure, their selection is smaller - like, a lot smaller - than Forest Ave, but what they lack in selection they make up for in customer service. The folks at the deli are fabulous, and through all this virus craziness, they've been very clearly diligent about cleaning/sanitizing/ensuring their customers feel they are doing their due diligence. I went through a checkout the other day and the cashier was great - switched gloves between customers, used sanitizer - she was friendly and gracious when I apologized I even had to be there to get anything!! They've got a hot bar, salad bar, bakery, and produce - what else do you need?! They also have a great selection of Amy's organic frozen meals, which is my go-to. Really fab location.”

“The man that checked me out was wonderful. We were traveling from out of state and my little boy lost a tooth. We were in Portland Sunday when no banks were open, and I had no way of getting the traditional tooth fairy gift of a dollar coin for my son. I asked while making my purchases if there was by chance a dollar coin in the register, and the CVS team member went above and beyond to track one down in the back room with the help of his colleague. It made me feel like “mom of the year” to keep the tooth fairy magic alive for my son. It was really a moment that mattered to me, and this location delivered. I was very grateful, and as always appreciate the hours and selection available at CVS as well.”

“I am so happy to have a Hannaford so close to our home. This is a clean, well stocked, with a wide inventory of products. Its even a fun place to shop. The employees are friendly and helpful and the management is as well. I am from a small coastal town in Maine and I feel like this Hannaford offers the same "at home feeling" when I go there. No matter which department you go to or which cashier you go to, they are all well trained and polite (with a little bit of fun tucked in there too). I simply would never shop anywhere else. “After several unpleasant experiences at the Auburn Street store I decided to try this store. You learn quickly not to bother a pharmacist on Auburn St. This happened to me twice in about a 4 month period. The pharmacist at this CVS went out of her way to answer my question. She knew that I was at the end of a line of 4 people at pick up but I had no pick up and I just wanted to find out about flu shots. She took me out of line and simply answered my question. I have now switched to this pharmacy.”

“This is a very busy CVS branch. Nonetheless, the staff is patient, helpful, and friendly - very professional. I shop there several times a week, and everyone - the pharmacists, the on-the-floor staff, and the checkout people - are very good; always willing to offer assistance, especially with the endless glitches of the automated checkout machines.”
