“Probably the friendliest Dollar General I have ever shopped . I have to say that this chain is not always friendly but this store is definitely an exception. I know that the clerks are tasked with both helping customers and stocking the shelves. This store seems to have found the proper equilibrium.”

Hot bar probably has some of the best food I've ever had in my life. No offense to the south but I've lived in both places and P&L's hot bar beats that, "southern down home cooking," by a landslide! The meat department does not disappoint in the slightest and everyone is very helpful. I can't even imagine anyone going to P&L and walking out disappointed. ?????”

“The chicken tikka masala is on point ?? Very tasty. The spicy version is actually spicy! Usually at other places when I ask for spice I don't get near enough for my liking. Toots delivers on its promise! I'll probably have some fire shats tomorrow ? I wish the menu were more expansive. If they made a sit-down Indian restaurant in town I'd visit frequently. It beats fast food and "chinese" hands down.”

“I seriously love shopping at Hannaford it's my favorite grocery store in the whole state of Maine! I go there often and always enjoy the friendly staff and the amazing peanut butter brownies are 5 stars! You need to try them!”

“We have been wanting to try the pizza here because we had some elsewhere in town that was okay but we thought the crust could have been better. Being fairly new to this part of Maine it is good to develop go-to places for different things. So we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and onion rings. The onion rings were good and the pizza was terrific. The crust was just right. There was an odd thing where it seemed like they hadn't finished slicing the pizza. My mouth is large but not that big! But it was a simple matter to finish slicing it myself. The people were friendly on the phone and in person. I read in a review that the parking could be challenging, so I was prepared to park next door if need be, but it was no problem. They had chicken salad sandwiches that were in small round buns (hamburger rolls?) and turkey sandwiches in small sub rolls. They looked intriguing and they were quite inexpensive so I will keep it in mind if I need to eat a meal on a shoestring sometime or if I want something a little different than the norm. Anyway, the pizza was so good I figure I have to try a cheeseburger there with fries sometime. There is no fast food place in town, so having a place to grab quick meals from would be great. Oil course it is also a convenience store with coffee, drinks and other items available. I didn't see any fresh pastries but there was a Nearly empty display there so they may have been sold out. All in all a place I want to try again, and in walking distance too.”

“My favorite lil hannys! This is in Dexter, which is a 1 stoplight town and once your through that light your at Hannafords. Now this being the smallest Hannaford I've ever been in, it's definitely not lacking what your looking for. Stop in on your way through as the staff is great and would love to help you find anything you need.”

“Been shopping here for a while. The meat selection is wonderful. It is basically a privately owned Hannaford so the deals carry over. Just don't expect to use your My Hannaford Rewards here. I love this place and if you are in the area, it is worth a look. And if staying at the Skowhegan/Canaan KOA... This is very close by and you will find everything you need for food for your camping trip. And it's only 15 minutes or so away.”
