“I live in the area I stop by here all the time and never had any problems. I'm not sure why there's a lot of bad reviews as it's a standard convenience store.”

“A classic Maine store; fits your basic needs in a pinch and has a chill, friendly staff. If you don’t like it bc it’s not gourmet or organic, go to market basket you ham sandwich”

“Great pizza packs with the dough, cheese, and sauce. This dough is better than half the pizza places around. I fed myself five meals on the cheap. Thank you Wards!”

“Love free vacuums and points program 2 W's for me, my car seems to run better on their gas, appreciate the inventory I don't think I have not been able to find what I was looking for ever.”

“I've gone to this store off and on since they had a video rental shop on the second floor, the new owners have absolutely revitalized the shop, not only redesigning the flow but including higher end grab and go items including viral candy crazes. They went from clearly being near closure to the store I walk to by preference.

The new owners seem to be quite lovely folks too, and are exhibiting why I love hearing about new mainers helping give our community a shot in the arm!”

“Went here for the first time the other night to get fancy steaks to cook at home, could not have been happier. An excellent cut of meat and very helpful staff. Also grabbed the biggest cabbage I have ever seen. We will be returning soon!”

“Lived in Monmouth about 8 years ago up the street from Reds on blue rock road. Loved this place. Everyone was awesome. Best steak and cheese in Maine. And you could get a real Italian sub here. Fried dough too.”

“Gas stations usually are pretty boring but this Irving Oil station is an exception. Of course they have gas and convenience items, but they also have an Amatos inside, and I believe they sell beer and maybe wine also. The cashiers are friendly. But did you know there is also a GREAT car wash here? There's automatic or handwashing bays. There are free vacuums, and there's even a dog wash! I think I remember seeing that you can buy car wash packages, which is really smart foe the winter since we get so much road salt on our vehicles. And it's easy to get in and out of the gas station because there's 2 stoplights right there.”

“They're a good place to get something on the way into town or on the way out. I would give a 5 just for some vending with coins they are very much ahead of they're time but I'm an old school guy. I don't want to use a credit card to add air to a tire but other than that they are customer oriented and my rating reflects that I'm an older person”

“I loved it. ?‍♀️ not sure why all the negativity, maybe it's changed a bit. But this place is within walking distance to me, thankfully since I don't have a car now. And they sell just about anything you'd need. Tobacco, tubes, pipes, ramen, coffee, I saw a fridge/freezer section, there's a little household goods section off to the side. This place is great!”

“Stopped in here to get drinks and snacks for my family and I. They have frozen ice drinks with I think 8 different flavors to choose from, coffee of various flavors (both hot and iced), tea (hot and iced), a whole add in area (different creamers, sugars, and even espresso shots), pretty extensive choice of pre-made foods (sandwiches, salads, pizza, hotdogs, and so so much more), random toys and stuffies, flowers (both real and fake), a pretty extensive cooler selection (ice cream, microwave meals, oven meals, dairy, assorted drinks both alcoholic and not), tons of different snacks (chips, jerkies, cookies, etc), a selection of motor vehicle must haves, and so much more!! The store was nice and clean both inside and out. And the cashier was really nice. An overall great environment.”

“Grab pizza/fries/beverages here for the kiddos before we go to the beach up the road if I don’t have time to make dinner and it’s been a long day, it’s always good, and the staff is friendly. Give me plates which I appreciated where we usually don’t stop if we are eating at home.”

“Cumbies, for those of us who frequent them, or Cumberland Farms for those who are familiar with the brand has evolved over the last several decades. The majority of them, during my teenage and young adult life, were smaller establishments built with brick and had this pale brown color with the Cumberland Farms logo. They only had spots to pump gas and it was a hot spot for those who like to play scratchers. This location started across the street from where it is today as Staff D. pointed out in her review, and bought the land on its current location and upgraded to a Super Cumbies, well they don't call it that, but one could surmise that is what it would be called. They now have twice the number of gas pumps and the store is nearly 3 times larger. They increased the height of the ceiling, added more fridges and a walk-in fridge to browse the number of beers they offer from your typical corporate beers to some locally craft beers. The quality of the food and snack offerings has significantly gotten better and despite some still labeling it as "gas station food", you have to appreciate the rebranding and upgrades they made to the slushy machines, the coffee station as well as a touch screen ordering system to order some of their upgrade menu selection. I personally enjoy the new look and it was a wise move on their part to upgrade because who complains about a 99 cent coffee all day, and everyday. They do have to compete with Dunkin next door to them, but Dunkin does not offer gas and Cumbies does. Stop in and check out the place if you haven't seen it.”

“Helped me out twice and did a fine job of knocking out bad people and their self centered troublesome nature. The police are troublemakers in the area. The employees in this area helped me tremendously and gave much help. They deserve benefits and time off.”

“Greatest place in the world to pick up prescriptions they are so helpful any time any day. They work harder than anyone I have ever soon work. I believe all the workers should get a raise and extra paid vacation days. Thank you for your service!???”

“Have stopped by here a few times and always had a good experience. Went in to use the bathroom and was impressed by the neatness of the entire store, and the cleanliness of the bathroom itself. It was a comfortable experience using the restroom here, the gas is reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.”

“As far as convenience stores go, I think Cumbies has come a long way. They are investing in their locations, and generally hire exceptionally friendly and hard working employees. The Sabattus location is a great example. And if you have your gas purchase taken from checking account using their card, you save 10 cents a gallon. I have still not taken advantage of that feature, but it's there. Also, in the morning the coffee, while not great, is still only 99 cents, even if cups keep getting smaller. Biggest issue with their coffee is they have a seemingly good variety, including one limited time flavor. But I can't tell the difference in taste of any of them...they all taste the same, no matter what flavor you choose, to me anyways. And if you get coffee anytime after noon time, it tastes strong, old and nasty. But they provide an awesome selection of flavorings, have fresh cream and even have those little "stok" caffeine shots to boost your morning a bit. You don't go to Cumbies based on pizza...as it is generally the most bland pizza you can buy. None of their other fresh cooked items look good to me and I question what is used for ingredients...sure they are the cheapest money can buy. The service is refreshing to see employees take such pride in their work. They are very nice, as well....except for the tall female manager...she is abrupt, never smiles and just wants you to buy your s*** and get the hell out of there. I will avoid her register every time possible. She makes you feel very unimportant and just an interruption to her day. Good thing the other associates are nothing like her, or I would not go there. Ever. And most prices as in any convenience store are way to expensive, but unlike most, they do offer little sales from time to time, and there are a few reasonably priced items. This is a nice store and I do a fair amount of business here. The parking lot and gas pumps can be a dangerous nightmare when vendors are vending and people get gas and instead of moving car away from pumps so maybe someone else can get gas too, they just leave car at pump and go inside to shop. Many times I drive by and go to Lewiston location when the parking lot becomes a cluster. No matter what or where, I will always choose a Cumbies over any other convenience store. Now let's train the manager some people skills, and this particular location would maybe hit 5 stars!”

“Dropped off Fed Ex package on tht visit. I've been there several times nice cashiers. But I won't get my prescriptions from them. Had to deal with a rude pharmacist on one trip to the pharmacy. Never went back. Dont know his name but he was of Asian descent.”

“Man with the long beard and glasses is the best cashier ever. Great service. I was short change and only had cash and was about to leave when he covered my change. This world needs more generous people. Thank you.”

“They just built this Cumberland Farms within the last year and I like the new look. They have a larger selection of beverages and a walk-in refrigerator where all the beer is located. Prices on 12-packs of soda is a bit on the higher side, but convenient if you live within walking distance. I cannot speak to the food side as they appear to have some cook to order options, pizza, self-serve coffee and freeze drinks and many other options a down-sized, older model, Cumberland Farms that used to be located next to its current location. The reason for the 4-star is the lack of parking. It can get pretty busy and its difficult to wait behind someone who is getting gas due to the limited space around the gas area.”
