“This is a wonderful concept that has been well executed. I visited a few times in 2023 looking for a light weight road bike that would fit my size to be used as an indoor trainer. I found exactly the one I looking for on my 3rd visit. I'm now looking for a light weight trail bike that I can easily lift into the back of a pickup. I saw 2 thar came close. I'll be back again. I have no doubt about being able to find the exact bike.
The staff was very helpful and not in the least overbearing.”

“I was visiting Portland and this YMCA was a 5 minute walk for me. I visited at 7-8am on weekdays for the cardio and gym room. Mostly empty at these times and the staff was extremely friendly. The equipment was pretty good for the price, had all the essential machines with squat and bench rack. One time visit was $12.”

“Love going to this bar. Portland used to be a wicked inexpensive place to get a drink but no more, if you are looking for the best cheap drinks in Portland, best $5 grilled ham and cheese, friendly group, free pool, free popcorn, free darts then this is the place for you. When you can't get a table at Bird & Co. than get your food to go and bring it to the VFW and drink for half the price of anywhere else around. They have great bands, dinners and a function hall that is probably the cheapest in Portland to rent.”

“My daughter goes to this daycare, she absolutely loves it! I was so nervous about sending her anywhere as she had been with just me since birth, and the staff had made the transition fabulous, her teachers are wonderful and I get updates on each activities, feedings, and photos of walks through each day! I am truly grateful for this nursery!”

“I just came back from fishing down at Portland Fish Exchange. The city of Portland owns the pier it's open for the public to fish. When the boats come in to unload their fish, or when they have the fishing nets out to repair and put the Nets back on the fishing boats they need to use a crane. They do ask you not to fish there. It is not because they are being mean to the public ! It's for the person fishing safety. They can get heard even get Killed. I see one person down there that insisted on fishing when they asked him not to. It was none of my business but I talk to the person fishing and told him he could get hurt really bad and even die. I also see one time when they was loading the Nets on the boat one of the big rollers fell. All the fisherman and people working on the boats and fixing the Nets are all really polite. Portland Fish Exchange Pier is the only one I go every day to go Fishing. I always ask if it's okay to fish today and is there any fishing boats coming in. If so, just out of respect for the fisherman and workers and for my own safety. I do have pictures of them working”

“This program helped me re-enter the workforce after a traumatic brain injury kept me out of it for a couple of years. It's helped me regain the confidence I needed to continue exploring career paths and life goals.”
