Maine Veterinary Medical Center
1500 Technology Way, ScarboroughWe brought our 5 year old kitty into MVMC's emergency department and were greeted with kindness and compassion. The diagnostic resources and technology are state of the art. The issue was identified and addressed with a positive outcome.Dr. Mortlock was outstanding and cared for our kitty as though she was her own. She kept us informed at every stage of the experience and her expertise and knowledge was evident from the very beginning of our experience. All the staff we interacted with were highly competent and gave us a sense of confidence that we and our kitty were in great hands. We would highly recommend MVMC to anyone needing emergency care for their pet. Thank you to everyone at MVMC!

29 1st St, ScarboroughDr. Ford is a fantastic vet! He did spay surgery on our rescue rabbit and it was very clear that he knew what he was doing and cared deeply about animals. The surgery was also way more affordable than other vets we considered. So glad we went to Scarborough Animal Hospital!

Pet Sitting & Training
Dog Paws Inn LLC
373 Gorham Rd, ScarboroughI brought my dog here for the first time last week and really appreciate the time that is taken to screen dogs for temperament and good health (vet records for vaccinations required and a temperament screening) as it ensures my dog will be with healthy, friendly dogs too! Catherine was friendly but very professional and I felt my little guy was being left in good hands! He had a good day and I'll be bringing him back once a week or so for socialization, to relieve his boredom and to give him something to do while I run errands! Thank you Dog paws Inn!

The Doggie Cottage - Scarborough
81 Holmes Rd, ScarboroughWe have happily been using Doggie Cottage in Scarborough for many years now for our 14 year old rescue dog. The staff has always been kind and attentive. They always give a good report when we pick her up after boarding. They clearly know our dog and love to lavish attention on her! We also use the grooming service, which has also been top notch. We feel very lucky to have Doggie Cottage as a place to board our dog, and will always return!

Another Dog Day
142 Pleasant Hill Rd, ScarboroughWe love this place! The staff is always totally friendly, and the dogs clearly love being there. Mine is normally trembling with excitement waiting at the door to get in. If that’s not the best sign of a dog being comfortable somewhere, I don’t know what is. You won’t find a better dog bath anywhere either. Depending on your breed, it’s possible whoever has washed your dog in the past hasn’t made it all the way down to the skin with a good scrubbing… I have a Labrador retriever with somewhere between three and four layers of fur (it’s best suited for swimming in cold water/oceans, sea fairing dogs back in the day), and he looks and smells amazing long after his bath from another dog day. I can tell the oils and odor have been removed from his skin. Give them a chance, if you have a friendly, outgoing dog, it’ll thank you.

You'll need them for the door and the amount of food you'll inevitably get while here.Opened in 2019 closed for COVID and now back on the map!Easy to find parking is quick and seating is spacious. The food was incredible and service was great as expected for a small business in Maine. On my top 5 to eat places in this areaWheelchair accessibility: A little tight getting in also have someone hold the door for you. Bite into Maine
185 US-1, ScarboroughAte here this past Saturday. Quite good :)I actually liked how cozy the interior was. Felt right-sized, and it was hella clean. There's a couple tables and a short bar inside, along with a few chairs outside.Service was chill and friendly. Fast without feeling hasty. Accurate without feeling fussy.Had a lobster roll picnic style with chips, preceded by a cup of clam chowder. Everything was terrific: flavorful, tender, at the right temperature. The slaw was cleverly hidden under the lobster. When I'm back in Portland, I'd be happy to eat here again :)
