220 Maine Mall Rd, South PortlandMy daughter got a new beta fish a few days ago from a local pet store and it was not doing well. We went to petco and the girl there was SO incredibly helpful. She spent so much time explaining everything we needed to know and helped us get a better setup for the new fish. She knew we didn’t want to spend a lot so she was very helpful in showing us what we really truly needed without pushing other stuff on us. We got the fish switched over to its new home and he is thriving and my daughter is SO happy. I was incredibly impressed with the selection of things they have there and the vast knowledge of the employee, she seemed much more knowledgeable than the lady at the local pet store that told us our fish would be fine in a small round fish bowl with no filter or heater!

We book with Dr. Dubois as often as possible, but all the doctors there are great. The vet techs and front office team are always very helpful with appointments and prescriptions, too.

416 Preble St, South PortlandScratch is a neighborhood staple. We got there early on a Friday morning and there was already a line. We didn't wait long so don't let it deter you, they have their operation down to a science.
Once you enter the coffee bar is to your right- the locals made note to stop there first then make your food selections after- you can pick up your drink after you make the rounds. The bagels are delicious and very fresh. We enjoyed a peanut butter cookie and loved the nitro coffee. Get there early if you desire a sea salt bagel
Parking was a little of a challenge since this spot is tucked away in a neighborhood but be patient there's constant movement in and out.
