“My name is Amanda. Im a 57 year old young women, and what I have just experienced at y’all’s so called establishment is unforgettable, unforgivable, and unspindled. I went with my 10 YEAR OLD Faith. First off, I couldn’t even find the Sephora! I walked for HOURS inside the Kohls. It STUNK inside. And my shin was throbbing in the most utmost pain after getting knee surgery. I had to walk so much! And my poor sweet baby of Jesus child, Faith, she was in distress. She has declaring to get the new Drunk Elephant bronzi drops. Anything for my baby, even if it means spending all my life savings for all her products. After many hours, helpless frolicking in sorrow, I finally decided to ask a staff member for help. I cannot believe they didn’t see me limping in pain and a confused grin on my face. Not to mention Faith, who was gripping her Lululemon fanny pack in complete anguish. After screaming at this young man for not noticing, I was met with groundbreaking news. The Sephora was outside and not in Kohls. This horrific costumer service and completely misleading name made me completely fathomed. How could they treat me, a paying, respectful, container, and a well-respected and well-functioning citizen be completely manipulated and abused! I stomped away and clenched my fists, while Faith was in distress begging for the the drunk elephant. She couldn’t wait ANY longer, she was just about to rip her hair out!! I am a horrible mother! How could I treat her like this! After the long, dreading, walk to the exit, I quickly fixed my bleached bob to prepare for this next atrocity. After walking briefly to the Sephora next door I was in a trance. I ripped open the door. I roared at the top of my lungs gripping faith while tears fell from her precious, innocent, due to her having to wait excruciatingly every second for her sacred drunk elephant. I roared, WHERE IS YALLS THE DRUNK ELEPHANT BRONZI DROPS. These staff members approached me in a bratty strut, to break my sweet baby heart, by saying they were out of the drunk elephant by other preppy teens. Faith broke down. She sobbed into the dirty Sephora while saying her life is over. I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS COMPANY EVER. FAITH WILL NEVER RECOVER FROM THIS TRAUMATIC EVENT. GOODBYE FOREVER.”

I came in not having a clue about what I was looking for, but Mackenna quickly helped me find the styles I fell in love with. She really listened to each note I had about each dress and made the perfect next selection.
In addition, Amanda (Operations Director) popped in a few times. She was simply another amazing light throughout the appointment. Her attention to detail with not only myself, but making sure the stylists were supported simply does not go unnoticed.
Overall, you can tell each staff member truly cared about each bride that comes through the door AND each other. It's way more than a sale to them!!!!!”

The other class participants are friendly, kind and a mix of all ages: 20s to 80s! The staff is very good at suggesting modifications but still pushing you a bit out of your comfort zone.”

“Maria is so fabulous. I brought her my wedding gown (the 2nd one I purchased) after having a bad experience with another alterations person/bridal shop with my first dress. There was only 1 month until my wedding, but Maria graciously took me and my dress on. This dress needed A LOT of work but Maria was able to complete the necessary alterations with time to spare. She made the most beautiful bustle with little gorgeous flowers. Maria is professional, incredibly talented, kind, honest, and communicates openly. I am so grateful for her and her incredible craft.”

“What an experience, if I could give 10 stars, I would. A group of us went on a Saturday evening for a semi-private personal shopping experience. And wow! It was incredible. With the help of the 2 incredible girls that work there, I ventured outside my comfort zone and left the store with 2 complete, beautiful outfits. I am 5'3, athletic build and struggle with how to style my body type with cute and flattering pieces. I now feel tremendously confident in jeans and tops that I would typically never choose for myself. Not to mention a stunning jacket that just ties everything together perfectly. I am blown away with how wonderful my experience was and cant wait to go back for a spring wardrobe refresh. Thank you Bobbles & Lace for showing me that it is possible to wear something besides skinny jeans and basic tops. I am super grateful for all the help.”

I spent about 2 hours in-store and was assisted with a bra fitting, carrying of clothes back to my dressing room, frequent check-ins while trying on clothes and exchanges of styles and sizes. I spent way more money than I should have BUT I couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“Cute local souvenir store by downtown area. It's on one of the hill, not on the main road.
They have selections of clothes, hats, toys etc. We got a Bluey activity book that was on discount $5 only! Also I found a picture frame I liked. Colorful and good quality. A little expensive but it’s a tourist thing.
The lady was very nice and friendly. I feel people in this area are all pretty nice and easy going. I had lots fun visiting different stores in the neighborhood.”

“Visited Jen Burrall Designs for the first time a few weeks ago. What a gem right here in Portland!!! Jen’s handmade jewelry is absolutely stunning!!!! She is in the process of making me a ring with Seaglass, I can’t wait to pick it up, the intricate design within the ring is amazing!! She also made me a band, made with sand from the beach in Maine, it’s so cool!!! And the clothes, WOW!!! The styles Jen has picked out to sell in her store are absolutely beautiful, she has an eye for fashion, a true artist!!! I picked out so many eclectic pieces, and she’s always getting new, fun styles in. She also has other really cool items that she sells, that would make awesome gifts, like bags, and wallets. I have been in, now a few times, and like I said she always has new, different, cool items to browse through. Also, Jen is super cool, laid back, and easy going. It’s such a pleasure seeing and talking with her. She makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed in her space. If you’re looking for something different, beautiful and hip visit Jen at her shop in Portland, I can promise you, it will not be your only visit!!! “Kohl’s in Westbrook is great overall. The latest change to combining pickups, returns, and purchases into one location had made for exceedingly long lines with too few workers. The people who are working are friendly and hardworking, but they can only do so much especially if there is only 1 or 2 people with 10 or more people in line.”
