“I wasn’t expecting to buy a dress but Toni truly hit the nail on the head! You can tell just how much she loves her job and she truly guides you in the right direction. After showing Toni a few options that I liked she went a brought a dress that she had pointed out previously over. The dress Toni picked out was the one. She listened to everything I like and disliked about each dress and found one that perfectly fit what I was looking for all WITHIN BUDGET!! I truly can’t recommend Grayce bridal and Toni enough!! They are truly incredible at what they do.”

“Maria Antonieta is the absolute best! My wedding was in July 2023 and despite protests from my mom, I really delayed looking for a seamtress! Then I found Maria Antoineta and she squeezed me into her schedule, mostly after her regular business hours, to alter my wedding dress. She was so much fun to work with and her passion for what she does shows in the quality of the work she produces! I would highly recommemd her!”

“Although I am a man, and they do not sell clothes for men, my wife absolutely loves this place and has been a frequent customer even before they moved to this new, beautiful location on lower Exchange Street. It's such a beautiful boutique and the prices are absolutely fair for the uniqueness and quality of apparel. My wife is very picky, and almost always finds something super cool and hip to buy here. “I had wanted to write a really good review of this Hot Topic. I felt really bad because I accidentally threw away the receipt where the employee wrote their name. I really want to make sure she gets credit though because she was amazing.Super friendly and great at her job. I work retail so I totally get being tired but she was super approachable and made me feel like I could ask for anything if I needed help. I probably didn’t seem that friendly that day because I was super tired. Can’t remember the name but she had short black hair, and dark lipstick on. And glassesThere was also another employee there who I think has worked there for a while. Long brown curly hair and pretty tall. I didn’t get their name but they were also super friendly and helpful.Since I work retail I was even able to better learn how to do my job cuz these guys are just so dang good!Idk what they’re making but whatever it is they deserve a raise!”

“My fiancé loves Torrid. At first I didn't really get it. I thought of it as any other clothes store, but after many, many trips with her to many different clothing shops, some patterns emerge as to why Torrid is so popular.-The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful (this is huge, most clothing store employees try to avoid eye contact or acknowledgement as much as possible, especially if you're on the heavier side. Torrid employees seem genuinely invested in you finding what you want and looking great.)-The quality of clothes is decent (could be better, could be waaaaay worse).-The sizes start around a "large" other places as "Torrid 00" (my fiancé isn't some who can normally say she wears a single digit size, though I've yet to unlock the mystery of women's clothing sizes at large, I can confidently get her something that will fit with Torrid's sizes.)-Often, Torrid is the only option for fashionable clothes in plus sizes in the entire mall.-They carry an actually reasonable selection of bra sizes (it's Torrid or online shopping for options.)While Torrid flirts with the "fast fashion" culture that's so problematic in our culture, it's almost the only way to access mainstream fashion trends for bigger women. As absurd as this seems (hello, we heavy people exist, deal with it), it's also the reality. Torrid isn't just the best option, it's often the only option.”

“Beautiful designs by a lovely jeweler, enjoyed talking to Jen about her inspirations. Creativity seems to run in the family as she also had some work from another family member featured in her shop. Also found some great gifts for co-workers including placebo mints as a cure for politics, inflation and troublesome relatives. Also picked up some silver earrings as gifts; while I didn’t purchase the faceted turquoise earrings, they were quite stunning.”

“This is one of my daughters favorite places in the Old Port. We had a 5+ star experience in the spring when shopping, she found the perfect eighth grade dance dress. The woman working (possibly the owner?) Was fabulous!!!At 5:55 she tried to duck in for a quick peruse since they were closing at 6:00. The woman working wouldn't allow her in. Quite surprised that they wouldn't want the business. Could always lock the door at 6:00 and allow existing shoppers to finish up. Small gripe I know but with small businesses, I feel like this courtesy is a must.”

She was so helpful as soon as we walked through the doors and made sure that my clogs were made to fit my feet absolutely perfectly. She was chatty and kind, and my clogs arrived exactly when she said they would with an adorable hand written note from her and some Kurier goodies. It had a defect where it started coming unstitched at the point where the hood comes together in the front.We were talking about an exchange, and the guy offered that their tailor could just fix it!In 5 minutes my new favorite sweatshirt was stitched up and ready to go. Unreal service, and so much less wasteful than tossing a perfectly good hoodie.Couldn’t recommend them more highly.”

“I had a funny experience here with my son fairly recently. We always go in to Spencers for t shirts when we’re at the mall. We don’t venture past the t shirt walls, but would possibly consider doing so if it wasn’t so overcrowded feeling in the store. Other than the space issue, the shirt selection is good and I can never pass up a buy 4 get 1 free sale.We went in around the holidays and got some shirts. When we got to the counter the person waiting on us made a joke about judging our taste in music based on what t shirts we were buying. My son and I are both Nirvana fans and had each gotten a new shirt. Our cashier commented “ah Nirvana…name 3 songs” I came up with some of the lesser known titles I knew to prove that I wasn’t a poser. This seemed to satisfy and the transaction went smoothly. On our way out our amateur band critic of a Spencer’s associate commented in seeming approval of the “Kendrick Lamar” hoodie my son was wearing. We didn’t have the heart to tell them that it was actually Jimi Hendrix hahahaha”
