“Although TRU had shut down all their operations in the US, and I remember so many memories I got with the place, doing all my toys hunting, my only regret was not able to visit the big TRU in New York before everything closed.Yes, I really miss it, and now while visiting Canada I cannot pass on an opportunity to come here, just to relive it, my childhood toys from Power Rangers to TMNT thru out the 90s.Everything inside out still look and feel the same, from the entrance to the giraffe mascot, I was a bit skeptical because I walked the entire store but all I found was cars, dinosaurs and baby dolls; then something hit me, on the left corner is the big holy grail, all the collectibles from Neca, Dcs, Mattel, Hasbro, etc they had them all with just a little more careful display, empty boxes without any figures inside because you know thieves, I think that is quite smart, the thing I still don't like about TRU is their prices, it's more expensive than any other places like Target or Walmart, but they used to have a points program, just not apply to this anymore, since you can buy everything online and price match at Target for a better deal.Anyway I'm just glad TRU stood still against time, not often that you get to feel nostalgia in a long time. Well, Canada you did something right, you saved Toys R Us.”

The sales associate asked me if I needed assistance and she did an outstanding customer service providing detailed information about the car seat of my preference and even took the time to look into the inventory of the whole city! “A local shopping mall with a short walking distance, no multiple levels or elevators, a movie theater and a food court plus several mom and pop shops, I see GameStop, Spencer, Lids and H&M and that's about a hand full of known stores, other than that maybe a local wireless store called Bell, Coles a book store, some hobbies store, enough to get some foot traffic inside, hope they will expand in the future.”
