Y-Not Foods is a small, locally-owned convenience store on 501 Ellice Avenue, opposite the University of Winnipeg, serving the community for over 30 years. It is a typical store selling sodas, candies, chips, milk, household items, and anything in between, plus lottery tickets, with an ATM inside. There is only street parking. The owners are sweet, super warm, friendly, helpful, and amazing, knowing many regulars by name and going above and beyond. Prices are higher than chain stores, but it is perfect for emergency groceries or student snacks, offering great selection, great quality, and always being well-stocked, clean, and convenient.

Very friendly owners, great selection of products and always well stocked!!! If there's an item they don't have, they have no problem bringing it in for next time!! It's nice to have this type of convenience store so close by!

The owners here are the sweetest people, super warm and friendly. Prices are higher than a chain store but I'm happy to support a local business, especially one run by such nice people!
