“My husband and I recently visited Route 22 Hatchet House for a date night (on a total whim) and had such a great time! The facility was clean, spacious, and just a lot of fun. I’ve lived in Aberdeen since this place opened and honestly hadn’t given it much thought because I had no idea how much it offers, There’s a full-service bar and kitchen. I didn’t try any food, but I can confirm that the variety of drinks (especially beers) was impressive, and the ones we ordered were very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and welcoming without being overbearing - just enough to make you feel comfortable and confident with an axe in hand.
I especially appreciated that they offer a variety of fun axe-throwing games beyond the traditional target boards. It made the experience so much more enjoyable for someone like me who’s not quite as accurate as my husband. My favorite was the Wheel of Fortune-style game because even though I missed the board a few times, I made up for it by being better at guessing the phrases and actually winning a few rounds.
I highly recommend Route 22 Hatchet House for date nights, parties (adult), and team gatherings. If you’re on the fence about checking it out, just do.”

“My husband and I frequent this establishment for little mini getaways. I must state that compared to other IHG establishments this location lacks as you are rarely or are never spoken to coming or going. However, at our most resent stay there is this new very professional and kind front desk staff member named Colleen. Her manners are impeccable and very deserving of recognition. She is a fantastic and a welcoming addition. Actually my husband and I agree she was the best part of our stay. A little kindness goes a long way. Great job Colleen!”
“This place is stunning pictures don't make it justice. My event came up awesome, the lady from admin was very helpful and nice she had a very good attitude and was very attentive in answering my questions. The venue is a do it yourself type of style and i love it!! there's no pressure in choosing a specific catering or vendor. Of course if you need one she would recommend it but you're free to let your imagination fly. I definitely recommend booking here for you next event.”

“The owner, Kelly, was soooo great! She was patient, kind, and very creative with the crafts I wanted to make. She did a few tests to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and offered to make them for pick-up later on! I’m excited to give holiday gifts and would highly recommend coming here for crafts/projects. The prices are extremely reasonable and I look forward to going back for my next creation!
