“Food & drinks: No microwave in the rooms, no free breakfast. They expect you to buy all of your meals. This is not a resort location. Should have more amenities for business travelers.”

“This hotel was the nicest hotel that my family and I have ever stayed in! The room was clean and spacious and looked much more cozy and warmly lit than the official website photos show. Before coming, we read reviews and I was amazed at how often people mentioned staff members by name, but after our stay I can see why. They were all wonderful, polite, and helpful. No matter what we needed, they were happy to help. They brought us towels, hairdryer, etc right away when we asked, found a can opener when we needed one, gave us a toothbrush, and one of the ladies (unfortunately I don't remember her name!) even offered us some of the cookies she baked while we were spending time in the lobby. And while in the lobby, we were impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of all of the staff members as they interacted with guests as well as each other. The manager Donna-Marie sets a wonderful example, and CJ, Miguel, and the others follow. The hotel lobby and the bathrooms there were constantly being cleaned, and there is coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24/7. The breakfast is available 6-9 am, and some of the options switched each day. The pool was heated and honestly felt more like a hot tub/bath water. There is also a shower head in the pool room to rinse off the chlorine before heading back to the room which was convenient, and the flooring was a nice stone non-slip surface. And the whole lobby looked lovely as they decorated for Christmas! We absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommend it.”

“I spend a lot of nights a year in a hotel. I have stayed in some really nice ones and some really crappy ones. The hotel at the university of maryland is one of the really good ones. The staff is excellent. Always willing to go out of their way for you. The rooms are clean, up to date and really cool. They have automatic shades. how cool is that?!? We were lucky enough to stay on the executive floor, across from the executive lounge which was clutch for morning coffee and late night snacks. The location is great! Right across the street from the university. We were there for the wrestling big10 tourney and we were able to walk or take the hotel shuttle to the xfinite center. The guy manning the shuttle was very fun and informative -- i wish i could remember his name to pay him proper respect. There are multiple restaurants on site, bar, steak house, breakfast place, coffee shop and pizza place. Some are better than others. There are many other restaurants in the area that require a short walk or uber. Oh yeah Ubers are plentiful around the hotel. .(Go to milk & honey for brunch. Thank me later). A couple negatives 1) construction on the main road. Its not in front if the hotel, but does make the area congested. 2) not associated with major hotel chain / no rewards program. But we had a great time. I hope you have a great stay!”

“Stayed here over the Xmas holidays. It's a basic hotel with good service from the front desk. If you get a room here ask to stay in the newer section of the hotel. When you get here what you'll notice is that the hotel has been renovated and they added a newer section to what was the original Hotel. The original rooms are okay but the hallways really strongly smell of smoke and weed. We stayed in the older section for a day but the smell got so overwhelming we asked to move and the front desk didn't give us a hard time at all about moving. Once we change rooms the stay got 100% better.Edit: Adding this part in response to the reply from the hotel. The fact that we did tell the front desk about the smell of smoke and that the front desk gave us new rooms should make it clear that we did tell the hotel about the smell of smoke. In fact the front desk instantly knew what we were talking about and made a different excuse about it than what the owner wrote in their reply. I took off a star because instead of just heqring what I said and keeping it moving you tried to shift blame to us by saying we didn't tell you when we did say exactly why we were changing rooms. The fact that all of your responses to anyone that has an issue is "find someplace else to stay" shows that customer service is not top of mind for your establishment. With that being said while the place is inexpensive make sure you keep in mind the reaction of the ownership on here. If they react like this to a review imagine how they may treat you if it involves any kind of refund.”

“Great staff. Very accommodating for those here for the long-term. Clean. Nice breakfast every morning. Free laundry which is great, though there’s definitely something weird with the 3rd floor laundry room- impossible to open the door due to a draft.Walls are VERY thin.”

“Second time staying. Rooms are spacious and very nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Convenient location.Rooms: Rooms are nice well kept. Standard amenities fridge, coffee, and microwave.Walkability: You need a car for this location.Food & drinks: Good amount of choices for food even if you just use the food court at the mall”

“Great location the staff work really hard. They are really accommodating even when guest are being rude or unruly. The rooms could be a lil more modern. But they are standard rooms. I hate that they don’t restrict certain rooms off limits for pets. That’s hard.Nearby activities: Live Casino and the Mall are nearbyWalkability: No side walk accessibility but they do have a 2 mile shuttle.Food & drinks: Bar and bartender are amazing! Maria keeps the kitchen alive. I love the salmon or shrimp pasta or salad. I miss their parfaits they used to have. The wings are great and the black and blue burger is good as well. (Plenty of places to eat nearby as well)”

“The hotel was in the middle of renovations when she stayed there it did not disrupt our stay. We were upgraded at check in and got a wonderful corner suite. Two separate bedrooms with their own bathroom as well as a mini kitchenette in the common space. Laundry room available if needed. We took the hotel shuttle to and from both the airport and train station. Breakfast served each morning and there was a social hour a few nights a week and beer/wine and snacks.”

“So I had never been to Arundel before, and it's sort of in the middle of nowhere. So you would think this hotel would be a middle of nowhere establishment, but it feels like it could be in Los Angeles or New York City. It's clean, cool, peppy, engaging. I really loved this hotel.”

“Service is exceptional. The rooms feel old. Beds feel like you are sleeping on plywood. So firm I felt like I was camping. Chair was so old it creaked and the fabric was worn off.Breakfast great. If they put effort into the guest rooms, this hotel would be perfect.”

“The location was in a remote area, I was relieved once I finally found the hotel. The receptionist wasn't too kind or helpful helping me find the room or event location that I needed to find. The lobby could use some updating. I personally would never stay at this hotel, but it's close to BWI airport.”

“I come here a lot and this is the second time that I’ve came in the winter and their pool was so cold we couldn’t go in it. Also, the majority of their Breakfast food is really nasty. The Orange juice was so disgusting that me and another lady both threw it out. It tasted moldy. I threw up at five times afterwards. They didn’t have any of the other juices and their coffee was so disgusting till it tasted burnt the night before and the next day. They didn’t have any of the pullout couch, bedding, and when we asked the front desk, they only gave us two Regular thin Sheet. We had two trash cans in the room”

“Great room but added a safe charge on my room which my wife had it removes and I'm a Diamond member with the rewards program they didn't acknowledge it or give me my chocolate or water for being a member when ask the said "all me give is water" but never got the water it seems the owner is all about secret charges to get more out of people or the staff it could be better and to add my room was blazing hot after I cut on the a/c it got better again this could've been a better satyr but it was what it was on the good side I did for get my shoes but when I think about I had to call to see if they saw then and I was gone for about 2 hours they did retrieve them so thank you for that”

“Nice hotel and nice rooms. They have the Westin workout which is an upgrade from a standard gym hotel, quite a few machines and dumbbells up to 50lb. The pool was closed on 3/13/24 not sure how long that will be for.”

“Nice, large and clean rooms, the building is a bit old but they're keeping it clean. Lobby is oddly shaped and doesn't have an open feeling to it but I normally don't spend any time in the lobby so this wasn't an issue. No free coffee which is odd, most of double trees have free coffee in the lobby, this establishment they charge you for coffee.I would definitely go back.”

“Ugh it was so dirty. The floors were very dirty and vent in the bathroom was long overdue for a change. It was corroded with dust. Its a far cry from nursery Rd motel 6. I would never stay here again. I left at 330 am bc it was imo disgusting. Hire me as a cleaning lady. I'll clean it up the way it needs to be done”

We had a very nice, that was a very good size and it was clean and comfortable. I love that red roof, at least all of the ones I’ve been too including this one, is always in close proximity to food restaurants as well as other stores which I love because it give you options of places to go without having to go too far.”
