It is my go-to spot for buying gifts, there are so many fun things to choose from, including books and clothes, and I would so much rather support this independent business and its *amazing* staff than any chain or billionaire-run internet retailer. It's also a great spot to try out new games, as many are opened up with rules on display throughout the store and you can play many of them in their huge gathering space, which is separate from the main store. I am so lucky to have this awesome store in my neighborhood!”

“I both purchase, and, on occassion, sell coins to upgrade from Coast to Coast. Their coin purchase website is easy to navigate, and the coins I have purchased are always as pictured and described. The prices are also reasonable. Also, if you are looking to sell, Steve T. is always polite and very professional. He does not make insulting offers. For myself, Coast to Coast has always been my first stop.”

“GREAT STAFF!!! My aunt came here to shop with her card. Upon her purchase she left her card at the place. Well three weeks go by and my aunt comes back to Michaels to get her card. Around 3:00 yesterday, one of the staff members effortlessly retrieved it to her. Their staff is trustworthy and competent and I don't know their name, but the black woman with glasses deserves a promotion! If you're missing your bank card, check Michaels! They might just have it.”

“Whimsical and delightful and worth a visit. Some call it a magical place or a fairy store. I always encourage people to check it out. I buy myself something here every year for my birthday. I’ve been coming for about 20 years. They have things you would have a hard time finding elsewhere and some items are one of a kind. However, the owners can be grumpy or nice depending on their mood I guess. The store has changed very little over two decades with some items sitting in the exact same spot they always have been and it’s not as fun to keep going back because the stock doesn’t rotate much. But if you are looking for a fantasy or fairytale gift, or have a friend who likes mermaids, or somebody who would enjoy a unicorn shirt, this is a place you have to visit.”
“A few other customers and I arrived at this location just one minute before the store closed on Christmas Eve. The employees working that evening were incredibly gracious and allowed us to come inside to quickly make our purchases. Unfortunately, I did not get their names but they went above and beyond to provide excellent service on one of the busiest (and I'm sure one of the most exhausting) days of the year. Many thanks to the team working that evening!!”

“I had the absolute best experience hosting my daughter’s 8th birthday party at Michaels. From start to finish everything was organized, welcoming, and so much fun for the kids.
Our instructor Melissa was phenomenal. She was patient, engaging, and made sure every child felt excited and included in the activity. The vibes were great the entire time. The supplies were plentiful and high quality, and the whole setup made it easy for the kids to focus on being creative and having fun.
It truly turned into such a joyful and memorable celebration. All of the kids had an amazing time and left proud of what they created.
I would absolutely host another birthday party here again and highly recommend it to any parent looking for a fun, creative, and stress free party experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

I’ve been in and out of Michaels at least six times over the past few days handling purchases, exchanges, and returns, and my experiences varied every single time. But two associates absolutely stood out: Brooke and Julia.
Brooke was AMAZING during my first return. She was completely swamped, clearly needed support, and even asked her manager for assistance that never came. Despite that, she handled everything with patience, professionalism, and grace. She truly held it down seamlessly.
Julia is a whole superstar. Over three different visits, I watched her juggle balloon services, process returns, hop on the mic for pickup orders, and help customers at self checkout, all at the same time. For two days in a row she was essentially running the front of the store by herself during peak holiday season. Shame on the managers for leaving her in that position, but major kudos to Julia for her composure, her work ethic, and her dedication to customers.
These two women are the backbone of that store. I hope Michaels recognizes their value because customers definitely do.”

“This comic book store was a great find. It's small but they pack quite a lot in there, I moved to the Arbutus area and was please to see a comic shop so close. The guys that run the shop were really helpful and have great suggestions. They weren't pushy at all. They may not have as big a selection as some larger comic shops might, but they are quick to help you order anything you are interested in. They were also really nice to my 2 young toddlers. Not all places are toddler friendly, but they were great with them. They gave my boys a free ball and some candy to keep them occupied while I looked around. I would have given this store 5 stars but their hours are kind of screwy. It would be nice if they had more set hours everyday, but I don't mind that much. The friendly atmosphere is what's most important! And they were both friendly and helpful.”
