The bakery selections, including generous cake slices, are loved. Many find the staff incredibly kind, helpful, and wonderful. However, some long-time customers note a decline over recent years. Attention to customer service and quality has slipped for some, with complaints about unavailable checkout staff and bakery order mistakes. The sushi, now from an outside vendor, is criticized for being bad, with tough fish and uneatable hard parts, a significant drop from its former quality. Some prepared salads, like the chicken or pasta salad, can be mushy or bland. While many highly recommend shopping there for its variety and kind employees, others feel the customer-first service has been lost.

I stopped in the Ruxton location for a cake for my dad and stepmom. The kids in the bakery were so sweet and helpful and Selena at checkout was such a darling, asking about the celebration and sending birthday wishes to my family. I felt very welcomed. Excited for the next event which will undoubtedly have a Graul's cake.
