We started back when you had to order a month supply and pick it up from our neighbor, to gratefully purchasing it from local dog stores.

She also showed me how the comprable dog food I get from Costco is something they sell more for less. 10/10

From the moment we arrived, he was so excited that he barked because he wanted to get behind the counter to see his groomer. When I came to pick him up, he didn’t even want to leave—they had to walk us to the door because he wanted to stay!
Not only did they do an exceptional job making him look absolutely adorable, but they also made him feel so comfortable and loved. As a puppy owner, there’s nothing better than knowing your dog genuinely enjoys going somewhere.

I was nervous because cats can get overwhelmed quickly, but the groomer moved slowly and kept the environment surprisingly calm. They explained beforehand that some sections might need shorter trimming, which helped manage my expectations. Her fur ended up looking much healthier and softer afterward. The front desk was busy during pickup, though the employees still stayed polite and answered everyone’s questions patiently.

We loved learning about the quarantine period, how animals are cared for, and the rescue operations. Our guide was very informative and engaging - big kudos to Andy! The 90 minute tour covered so much information and we were so happy to have paid the extra fee to visit this center. Highly recommend! (FYI they have a small parking lot that they let you use free of charge during the tour with entry 30 minutes before).

When I pulled up, I was greeted by a friendly employee who wanted to let me know that she had a couple of anti-social/possibly aggressive dogs showing up any minute so for my safety and the safety of my dog I should stay in my car. She went above and beyond from the moment I arrived all the way to the completion of cleaning and clipping the nails of my dog.

The staff was super helpful and showed me how to work all the equipment for the self-washing stations. It was really convenient that they had different sizes of wash stations so my small dog wasn't so far down in the big ones!
They have everything you need there--even disposable aprons so you don't get soaked when your dog shakes off!
Make sure to bring your own shampoo if you are particular, but they have full size bottles available for purchase, or small single-serve sizes for $3.
The price for the self-wash was definitely reasonable. It was definitely worth it!

They make my bichon look great regardless of how much of a dirty scribble he is when I bring him in. They are also quick, the turn around time is unbelievable (I have 2 dogs, the bichon and a chihuahua, and they generally take 1.5 hours tops). I suggest calling ahead to see how busy they are, but I’ve never had to wait more until the next day to bring my dudes in. Highly recommend this place!

They have a space for cats to be separated from dogs when waiting which made the experience more enjoyable and stress free for my kittens. They are cognizant that sometimes excellent vet care and certain medicines can be costly so they work with you to figure out the best all-around option in terms the best and most cost-effective treatment. We also had to put our very best old man cat to sleep recently and Evergreen provided such a caring and kind and gentle experience. They accommodated us moving the appt up to earlier in the day due to us just wanting to help our cat as quickly as possible (he was just so unwell that it seemed unkind to wait). We also got a really amazing gift afterwards of some of his hair in a small jar and a paw print card from the team. Of course that had us all in tears all over again but it was such a very kind and unexpected gesture - I can’t emphasize enough what a wonderful animal hospital this is, filled with kind and competent staff.

1 East Chase Street Ste 1101, BaltimoreRosie and RJ are truly magicians. I was having a difficult time managing my 6-year-old Golden, Goose, in a variety of situations. He is very high-anxiety, incredibly stubborn, at times reactive to other dogs, etc. and these behaviors coupled with my lack of control were making everyday life difficult for both of us.
I started with private lessons with Rosie because I had a lot of anxiety about board-and-train programs. Between Goose not being crate trained due to his confinement anxiety and my admittedly unhealthy attachment to him, I was pretty convinced a board and train just wasn't for us. After only a few sessions with Rosie I trusted her completely. I knew Goose would be a great candidate for the program and, more importantly, that Rosie and RJ would make sure he felt safe and comfortable while in their care.
Sending him was truly one of the best decisions I could have made for both Goose and me. Rosie and RJ didn't just work with him to address the behaviors that were making it difficult for us to enjoy our days together, they worked just as hard with me to make sure I understood what Goose needed from me and had the tools and confidence to maintain everything he had learned.
The biggest difference is that Goose is SO much happier now. He gets to safely enjoy off-leash freedom, is calmer and more confident, and respects boundaries both at home and on walks. Things I had genuinely believed just weren't possible for him are now part of our everyday life. He also is down to a healthy weight because he no longer fights his walks or activities.
What I appreciate most is that they never tried to change who Goose is. He's still my stubborn, goofy, opinionated dog, he just has the structure and confidence to navigate the world so much more successfully. I can't adequately express how grateful I am to Rosie and RJ for what they've done for him and for me, which has continued after the program concluded. If you're nervous about trusting someone with your dog, especially a dog who has anxiety or more complicated behavioral needs, I truly cannot recommend them enough.

I’ve had dogs my entire life, and I still learned a ton from Paul. That alone says a lot.

They immediately resized his collar, gave us a few tips and recommended we join the beginner obedience class. I was nervous for the classes due to his reactivity but the trainers were patient and encouraging every step of the way. We now enjoy walks, his reactivity is to a minimum and I am not nervous when other dogs get too close. Big shout out to the team, Casey, Angela, Jacob and Zach who all shared in our adventure. My dog is so much more well behaved now, I have way more control and I definitely was trained to be a much better leader for my dog. I would recommend this place 10000x over for anyone who wants their dogs to have better training. Thanks again team! Hope to join a fun tricks class in the future!

Yesterday on a rainy day in Baltimore I ordered the Wakanda, triple chocolate ice cream with plantain jerky and cocoa nib/oat crumble, and it was perfection. Perfectly balanced and flavored. As I sat outside at their little covered entryway, the owner came out and asked if I wanted a sample of something. I said sure, and he scooped me up the most delicious yellow lentil dal, spicy and savory and also perfectly balanced.
This is possible the best ice cream in Baltimore, vegan or not. Every other shop is too sweet and boring; Cajou is doing something really special over on Howard Street.

3300 Falls Road, BaltimoreThe staff here are all very nice, accommodating, and realistic. They open at 1pm and have kittens available daily but you have to get there right at 1. All 3 were adopted by 1:20. We fell in love with this cat, Frank, while visiting, and probably need to go back and get him!

Canton Dog Park
3201 Toone St, BaltimoreI was on a long drive with two dogs, one of whom will not potty on leash. We found a dog park slightly south of Baltimore, but one side had overly friendly dogs and one side had a Very Unfriendly dog, so we had to move on. I had not been to the Canton Dog Park before, but found it quite easily and there was ample parking available. The "small/senior" dog side was empty, so we went in and stayed for probably 20 minutes playing and enjoying the freedom outside of the car. The humans on the other side were friendly and helpful, pointing out that we could run to the pub across the street for human facilities, too. I love to see this area being built up and turned into a well-lit, friendly neighborhood.
