We started back when you had to order a month supply and pick it up from our neighbor, to gratefully purchasing it from local dog stores.

We got to talking about how I wished they’d sell my cats food and she’s going to start carrying it in the store. She also showed me how the comprable dog food I get from Costco is something they sell more for less. 10/10

Then I came in the next day to buy crickets in the checkout person couldn’t have been sweeter. She even put the cricket box together and put the food in it and tell me every step of what to do. We ended up adopting a Guinea Pig 🐹 and the girl working with the animals is such an animal lover 💕 she’s definitely a good fit. I was considering getting a small, cheaper cage and she advocated for all Guinea Pigs saying that they need a good home (cage) where they can be comfortable and roam freely. She made suggestions without a sales pitch hassle. I just loved her attitude, I like seeing animal lovers working with animals, perfecto!
At the register, I was told that I saved $60, which was not true. I also ended up paying more for the Guinea then what was listed-maybe they should be more clear with prices or anything they’re adding on to the price, otherwise, great visit. 🥰

From the moment we arrived, he was so excited that he barked because he wanted to get behind the counter to see his groomer. When I came to pick him up, he didn’t even want to leave—they had to walk us to the door because he wanted to stay!
Not only did they do an exceptional job making him look absolutely adorable, but they also made him feel so comfortable and loved. As a puppy owner, there’s nothing better than knowing your dog genuinely enjoys going somewhere.

When I pulled up, I was greeted by a friendly employee who wanted to let me know that she had a couple of anti-social/possibly aggressive dogs showing up any minute so for my safety and the safety of my dog I should stay in my car. She went above and beyond from the moment I arrived all the way to the completion of cleaning and clipping the nails of my dog.

I was nervous because cats can get overwhelmed quickly, but the groomer moved slowly and kept the environment surprisingly calm. They explained beforehand that some sections might need shorter trimming, which helped manage my expectations. Her fur ended up looking much healthier and softer afterward. The front desk was busy during pickup, though the employees still stayed polite and answered everyone’s questions patiently.

We loved learning about the quarantine period, how animals are cared for, and the rescue operations. Our guide was very informative and engaging - big kudos to Andy! The 90 minute tour covered so much information and we were so happy to have paid the extra fee to visit this center. Highly recommend! (FYI they have a small parking lot that they let you use free of charge during the tour with entry 30 minutes before).

They make my bichon look great regardless of how much of a dirty scribble he is when I bring him in. They are also quick, the turn around time is unbelievable (I have 2 dogs, the bichon and a chihuahua, and they generally take 1.5 hours tops). I suggest calling ahead to see how busy they are, but I’ve never had to wait more until the next day to bring my dudes in. Highly recommend this place!

I did research on local veterinary offices. I have been to others. Parkville Animal Hospital will be my go to! Thank you for such a great first appointment! Appointments can be made online. Prices are reasonable. They have parking behind the building.

She may have put it down but that doesn’t mean she didn’t show any less care or love. I appreciate everything she did as my sister and I were in there crying and wishing it wasn’t the time to say goodbye. She walked us through the process and made sure to make sure we were ready. She was so honest and professional through the whole experience. And the tech Ari was also so freaking amazing. I actually switched my own pets to this vet because of Ari and Dr. Vaughan. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for the care of any of my pets.

We probably all know people or “trainers” who rely on fear, punishment, or methods that feel like borderline abuse to achieve a dog’s obedience. I grew up around a lot of this throughout my life, and this view of dog training made me sad and hesitant.
Working with Rosie and Rj has given me so much peace and hope. Their approach JUST MAKES SENSE! They use holistic, functional practices and factor in both the human’s AND dog’s needs which creates a wonderful relationship, just how it should be :)
Domino was a classic example of a puppy growing into teenage rebellion with no structure- impulsive, leash pulling/biting, easily distracted/fixating, no recall, jumping, mouthing, etc. Now we are able to build a life together where he can enjoy freedoms and experiences he never could’ve had otherwise.
Rosie and Rj truly care about each individual dog and human. I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

I’ve had dogs my entire life, and I still learned a ton from Paul. That alone says a lot.

BaltimoreI adopted a teenage puppy who had lots of leash reactivity and lots of pulling. Denise was the 2nd trainer we worked with and since working with Denise, he's made huge progress! He would lunge and bark at everything from a cart to a recycle bin to a tall branch hanging over the fence. After determining the right tool that worked for me and him, and working through some of my own anxieties with him, I feel more confident walking him and he is much easier to handle. Me and him still have work to do, (practice makes perfect!) but I feel like I can breath when I take him out of my house and I no longer worry about the big feelings and reactivity that he had towards any and everything. Thanks to Denise, my teenage puppy might just make it to his humans sports events one day!

Dauntless Dog Training
7609 Energy Pkwy, BaltimoreBig should out to Dauntless Dog Training and their incredible staff! I brought my senior rescue baby in for a consultation for his reactivity and leash pulling. They immediately resized his collar, gave us a few tips and recommended we join the beginner obedience class. I was nervous for the classes due to his reactivity but the trainers were patient and encouraging every step of the way. We now enjoy walks, his reactivity is to a minimum and I am not nervous when other dogs get too close. Big shout out to the team, Casey, Angela, Jacob and Zach who all shared in our adventure. My dog is so much more well behaved now, I have way more control and I definitely was trained to be a much better leader for my dog. I would recommend this place 10000x over for anyone who wants their dogs to have better training. Thanks again team! Hope to join a fun tricks class in the future!

Charm City Pet Crematory
5500 O'Donnell St, BaltimoreMy beloved cat Ziggy passed away on Sunday 8/30. I already was prepared to use Charm City Pet Crematory in part because of their work to accommodate those who were harmed by another pet crematory service, which IMO was highly ethical so I went on-line to make an appointment. I received paperwork to fill out to facilitate ease of making the final arrangements.
I arrived Monday 8/31 & was met by Tom.
An unexpected emergency by the staff left him having to present the paperwork for me to fill out again. In spite of the circumstances, Tom was very accommodating & caring. Zoey kept in touch with me to verify payment & gave me an approximate day of when I can pick Ziggy up in spite of dealing with an unexpected emergency.
I ended up getting Ziggy on Wednesday 9/9. Tom had presented the package in a caring manner and acknowledged having the work done before I went away. The companion package to me is beautiful.
Things happen beyond our control, even in business. I’m thankful that in spite of the circumstances Charm City Pet Crematory came though, being compassionate and communicative.

Canton Dog Park
3201 Toone St, BaltimoreI was on a long drive with two dogs, one of whom will not potty on leash. We found a dog park slightly south of Baltimore, but one side had overly friendly dogs and one side had a Very Unfriendly dog, so we had to move on. I had not been to the Canton Dog Park before, but found it quite easily and there was ample parking available. The "small/senior" dog side was empty, so we went in and stayed for probably 20 minutes playing and enjoying the freedom outside of the car. The humans on the other side were friendly and helpful, pointing out that we could run to the pub across the street for human facilities, too. I love to see this area being built up and turned into a well-lit, friendly neighborhood.
