βWhat an awesome Redners! Clean, bright, well stocked. Actually has employees working around the store, offering assistance. Wonderful produce, fresh. The meat and frozen was better than Wegmans - stocked, lots of choices, great selection.β

DAFB commissary serves a fairly large active and retired military community in both Delaware and nearby areas of Maryland, so it is generally well stocked. My one major complaint has to do with the produce section which is probably one of the poorest I have ever seen both in selection and quality. Even though places like Sam's Club, Walmart, Aldi, or Food Lion offer a wider variety and fairly competitive pricing on many products the savings on things like meat and cereals cannot be beat. The store is always spotlessly clean and everyone from the shelf stockers to the cashiers to the baggers is friendly, helpful and polite. All in all, for a small to medium commissary it's good; just need to work on that produce section!β
βA little story: Was highly recommended to Horizon Foods for our meats for the upcoming wedding. Placed my order, very friendly and knowledgeable. The pick up morning came, ready to head there and get my order. Received a phone call that some of my meat never came in. Showed up and picked up what meat that was available to not only receive a discount but the owner, went out of his way to go find my meat for me, delivered it 45 minutes out of his way to my home and gave me more than what I paid for.
Hours later when the business was closed, we became frantic looking for a different meat cut to use as well. Contacted 7 stores, drove 30 minutes to find the store did not have what we needed. Made a desperate call to Horizon after hours to find this meat. Not only did they still respond but they had the meat that we needed!
If you're looking for meats for a cookout or event, I as well as the many who recommend them would be the first to use them. Not only did their warehouse have a ton of stuff for events but for also stocking your freezer with bulk supplies. The customer service was fantastic and they really went above and beyond some out of their control to make this as easy for me as they could under the circumstances. Jennifer and Sean, you have one more customer added to your list!!! Thank you for all you did for me and our upcoming wedding!!!β
βSo grateful for aldi's being here! With the increases of everything being so much more expensive, it's nice to know we can shop there and not feel the hurt at the register. It's nice to see the international foods there also. German food, love it!β

Lots of free parking. They have great prices and a lot of produce, which is what I buy. Check out was easy. Although this particular one did not seem to have self checkout.β
βI truly need to give a shout out with the experience that I had at the Sprouts Market in Bel Air. From the meat department with their expertise and their kindness and their patience with me while trying to order salmon and crab cakes my only error is I did not receive their names to give them a shout out and make it be known how impressed I was with the conversation and their customer service. This professionalism carried all the way up to the register. When approaching the register I was greeted by a gentleman who I believe the name was Kahraun, and God knows I hope I spell it correctly. His customer service went above & beyond almost in the same league as me lol. But seriously I was truly impressed with his customer service he greeted me when I came to the counter I offered to bag my groceries and he informed me that he would do it for me but I tried to make it easier and help him out and he allowed me to. But knowing that he was going to go above and beyond and do everything for me was highly impressive. The short brief conversation that we interacted with was very professional and pleasent. When I first got to the location I was in the company of my brother, and all he kept saying to me when we were driving there was why didn't I go to the Sprouts on Boston Street, like we normally do, but after having the experience that I had at this location, I will definitely recommend to any of my friends that live in the Bel Air-- Fallston area to support this location, and reassuring them that this location is not only clean, but comes with a staff that upholds the reputation of professionalism an excellent customer service! Thank you staff at Bel Air for showing me and my brother awesome appreciation for supporting this location!!! Hats off to everyone there!!!!β

βAbsolutely love the selection and value offered at Food Lion. I save a bunch through the digital coupons and shop n earn offered through their app. I've been loyal for a long time as I've found it to be the best value by far.β

βAldi's has a good layout from the fruits, meats, and dairy sections to all the goodies and housewares stuff they always have in inventory. I actually could not find cold foam and had to get my hubby to run me to Aldi's. Will be back to shop. Look at the price, and I know I only get one can of cold form for Aldis price for two. Plus, the broccoli florets are awesome, also.β
βJust stopped in for the first time since ownership changed hands and it was awesome. Prices on bourbon and tequila are great and location is convenient. Owner was kind and cheerful and store was clean and well organized. I will be back!!!β
βFantastic new store bringing what is becoming a popular shopping from Germany to the US. The bakery is the plus so far in the initial visit. Bringing popular European style breads is very welcomed.
Produce was all fresh and reasonably priced and well stocked.
Staff were very attentive and working through the 'new store' issues with ease
However on the initial review of German/European products available from this German brand store was underwhelming. Just through brand awareness it was thought to be one of the highlights. I particularly hoped in the opening weeks for a higher quantity of products even as specials to draw traffic and attention. I hope this is temporary issue and that 'themed' weeks like the competitors will bring more selection in the future.β
βTo me they have an awkward parking lot.It is a larger store and has quite a few items. Produce always looks good but as soon as I get at home, it always goes bad.I never buy that there.β
βGood selection of many different foods, snacks, sauces, and spices. I was looking for a few Korean items and didn't want to drive to Hmart, and this store had them.β
βWe have long missed the salad bar. We have been driving all the way to Havre de Grace store for their salad bar. Glad to see this item has returned!!!!! It will keep us a regular at this location now. Please keep it going.β

βI normally go to the one at Cheltenham Mall in Philly when I'm up that way so I decided to try the one closer to home and I am pretty much just as pleased. Kudos ShopRite. Customer service is excellent in both stores. So far shopping through Instacart is pretty good as well in both stores. Just hope to see the * in stock* items kept better updated.β
βBest Turkey Club sandwich I can ever remember having! The turkey meat is juicy and the lettuce and red, ripe tomato are both fresh? The thin bacon is lean and cooked nice and crispy-crumbly! Herb's makes a GREAT sandwich!!!β

βI loooooove this store, it is ultimately top tier. I love little Sam and his brothers (Samβs the hottest out of all of them #weloveourshortkings), their customer service is out of this universe, always giving back to the needy (Basically me & my family) and always making someone laugh. In this community there is a lot of Hoodlums; and our short king always give to them. Now he may be a little, but his heart is big. We love the store and you should go there too, but donβt rob them because like I said Sam is really short and chubby, so if you try to steal from him, heβd probably fall and break something and then youβll be in prison. βThis is my absolute favorite, favorite market! I can literally go in there and be in there forever. There are so many things I could say about this place! The customer service is amazing, the quality of produce and jeers are amazing-"! I love the cooked options you can purchase and just put in the over once you're home. I'm not a sushi fan, but my kids love it and I must admit it, I did taste a piece once or twice and it was so fresh and there are so many sushi options to choose from, not too mention they prepare it in the store. Wegman's isn't only a market, but an experience!β
βThe store and prices are awesome, but there is a group that hangs out in front of the store. Clearly intoxicated and at times they are pretty belligerent and volatile. I wish the store would do something about it.β
